Everybody has a mental issue of some sort, if we claim paranoia, anxiety, etc are symptoms for being that. If this is true, EVERYBODY needs mental help. Life has up and downs and can affect people in different ways. I'm not a medical expert but I think some behavior is tied up more in a person emotional state. If a person is too angry or too sad, they can do some crazy things. Sure you can correlate emotions with mental health but is it true in every case like this? A thug, who's mad at society and mad about his life, goes out and kills some people. Is he mentally ill? -

As soon as I heard the news this morning, I knew what arguments would be brought up on this board. The same crap every time. This is not a case of mental health or gun control. The guy was angry, he knew who he wanted to kill, and he killed THEM. How is he no different than the gangsta who goes out and shoots people? This shooter, from what we know, had no mental history. He was disgruntled and had a vendetta. I'm tired of mental health being thrown around these cases. There are people who really need help of course, but some are driven by emotion and can act out their feelings. He knew what he was doing by filming it and using social media. The violent culture and media in America are to blame the most. We got to look at the whole picture and not focus on one area

Hundreds of JW Child Molesters in Australia not Reported to Police- CNN News you tube
by flipper ini felt it might be a good idea to post this so that sitting on the fence jw's or jw lurkers can see that this australia jw child abuse news of 1,006 jw child molesters not being reported to police by elders is a reality that has hit mainstream news media.
i thought this report was very well done.
here's the link : http://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2015/07/28/australia-jehovah-witness-sex-abuse-hannigan-lklv.cnn.

Why hasn’t someone gotten real pissed off yet?
by John Aquila ini keep reading of some guy who is so upset at someone that he goes into a theater and shoots 20 people..
or a kid that is so mad that the other kids made fun of him that he goes to school and shoots a bunch of kids..
or some guy that was fired from his job and he goes back and shoots of bunch of his workers.

Thinking about it, I would like to see how the news media and social media would react to violence against JW. What would people say about it? That would be of interest to me despite the shame of the actual event. The WT doesn't really interest a majority of the public as is, especially in the western world. So if something like that happened, would you have people say that they're sending out their prayers to the JW victims, even if they're not fond of them. Also, how would JW address the situation when they go out door to door? Would they try to ignore it? -

@SimonSays you're crazy. We can't talk about this situation because of that shooting? Really? This thread is NOT making fun of victims of those crimes. -

I've also wondered this myself. A lot of what's been stated is true. Most ExJW take ownership of their mistake in believing the WT. They go through the different stages of recovery and try to move on to what life they have left. Most have family in and do not want to go out as a criminal and further tarnish their name. I have personally felt like doing something. I realize though that it wouldn't help my situation and it would end any piece of a successful future I can possibly have. I do think that the possibility of something terrible happening to the WT would increase if there was a mass exodus. There are quite a few in the organization right now that have a few screws loose. If these people become aware of the TTAT.....it will be hell to pay. GB members Anthony 'Tight pants' Morris and Stephen "the Face" Lett will be prime targets. The WT would definitely have to triple up the security for those guys. All in all, while I wouldn't want to see it, I wouldn't be a surprise if it happened because the WT has hurt too many people. I'm sure either the victims of sexual abuse or the ones who've gave their WHOLE lives to the WT (i.e Bethelites, Missionaries, CO, Full time Pioneers) will be more likely to go postal. -

The use of Brother/Sister always felt weird to me. We don't address real family like that. It was funny a few times when I had people in the congregation tell me to address them by their first name. One Sister in her late 20's who was married, wanted me to use her first name instead because she "felt old" with being called Sister SoandSo. LOL -

After further review. He's been out for awhile. He's on Facebook and is part of the ExJW Recovery group 3. He was kicked out in the early 2000's. -

Got the boot. Straight cold blooded
He seems sincere and this doesn't come across as a host. It will be interesting to see more videos from him. He just started a Youtube account.
