Keep your friends close but your enemies closer. I'm quite certain the U.S. has implemented something to insure that doesnt happen.

Unlikely, but what if this happened re:Iraq
by IronGland insaddam is put on trial and he is sentenced to life in prison instead of death.
the iraqis get things under control enough to where in a year or so the americans pull their troops out.
once the americans are gone, the 'provisional government' frees saddam, says 'welcome back mr president' and he takes charge of iraq again.

East Tennessee and there are lots of attractions and also the mountains here.
When I lived in Kentucky we'd drive down to the Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky border, and take our quads out through the Daniel Boone Gap. That has got to be the most amazing county I've ever seen. It's beautiful. I have just rolls and rolls or film from our trips out there. But I'm a city girl so I love to visit but start itching to get back home to convience.
p.s. the moonshine aint too bad either ;)

No way..... Good Ol Mr.Bushy has invested far too much in to the destruction of Saddam to ever let THAT happen. My guess, he'd probably "bend" somemore rules or find some miraculous report to justify putting him back in to American custody. Besides, you dont REALLY think Saddam with be entirely in Iraqi custody do you? I mean it all just looks good on paper.

ever along with the George Foreman grill.
Amen Happy Dad!!! I cook everything on my grill. My favorite is lemon peppered salmon, and I even grill my red potatos, it takes some skill but can be done. If you have a "meat eater" in your house get this grill. Spencer doesnt like my "fancy" food as he calls it, so he gets hamburgers and hotdogs, he's even learned how to make them himself.

I do agree that there is a difference between men and women regarding the sexual issue. But regardless children are still children and I hate to see a child lose their innocence too early, especially at the hands of an adult. I understand children experiment with one another, its a natural thing, it's natural to experiment with kids your own age. Never should a child experiment with a grow f-n adult, then it's not experimenting, it's being taken advantage of. My nephew is 13 and he and I are very close. I'm proud to say he is still relatively innocent, even though he certainly doesnt look 13, the kid is nearly 6 feet tall, I could never see him doing such a thing, and I'd be pissed if an older woman tried to pull such a thing with him.

As a woman around her age, I could never imagine being attracted to a boy 14 years old. Hell I even have a hard time being attracted to men even a little bit younger than me. I think she's dispicable.
And just for the record, I have several friends in their early to mid twenties who are teachers, and those girls are the wildest girls I've ever known.

Too hell with Graceland,
Bite your tounge. I have tried 3 seperate times to visit that place. I have gotten so close too. That is my must see on my vacation.
Living in Southern California people always say they want to move here, especially when they come to visit for a week and they have so much fun. I constantly remind them that we have an enormous cost of living. The traffic is absolutely terrible, that is a reputation that we have absolutely lived up to. And our outlook on society is very different from the rest of the country, at least growing up here anyway.
I have had 4 friends who came out here to try and live, after the parties die down, it's too hard for them and they have left

shakedowns
by bavman inhas anyone else noticed shakedowns in their area.
in my state whole service committee's (presiding overseer, service overseer, sectretary) have been replaced in many congregations including our's.
also, at the green bay convention and in many talks locally it seems there is a lot of hammering on the faithful and discreet slave.

Yes we had many here. In the late 70's they removed ALL of the Elders in our hall and disolved the entire congregation due to wife swapping. In the 90's the same thing happened a bunch of Elders were removed and the congregation was split, I dont know why but it wasnt because of wife swapping that time. Shortly before I left my new congregation was again split, elder's removed and not too long afterwards the PO was DF'd for having an affair with another man's wife. After I left again it happened with a different PO, the same PO who hit on me in the parking lot after my judicial meetings. It happens, men in a position of authority think they're the exception to certain rules.

I enjoy eating out as well, but for a picky eater, what I usually do is keep mental notes of what they order when we go out. If there is a dish that they particularly enjoy I keep a note as too how the resturant made it.
Since I work full time and have a fairly hectic schedule, I like to stock up on ready made things from Trader Joes. I will buy the ready made stir-fry. The key is to add things to it so it taste homemade. For chicken stir fry I add my own noodles and cook my chicken in sangria instead of oil, I add fresh mushrooms and spicy seasonings. I can make it in about 10 minutes and it taste like it took forever. Make simple things too, sometimes odd combinations work well together.
I love a garlic Indian bread called naan. I will buy naan at the store, then sprinkle a balsamic vinegrette over the bread, cut up some tomatoes, add parsley and mozarella, and voila, a cheap, odd combination that works. The key to making just about ANYTHING taste good is seasoning, make sure you always have plenty of key ingredients in stock like garlic, vinegar, oil, parsley, cilantro, cumin.
One of my favorites to make is take chicken broth, and cream of mushroom, mix together and pour in the bottom of a glass pan, add several boneless chicken breasts. Then make up stuffing from the box by just adding enough water to moisten. Cover your chicken with the mushroom-broth combination and add a layer of stuffing across the top. I usually sprinkle a thin layer of mozarella over it too to solidify it. Then bake in the oven at 350 for about 45 minutes.
Sorry I dont have very many recipes, I pretty just make things up as I go along and season to taste. I grew up with an Italian mother who was the best cook ever. However she never used recipes either, everything was just a "smidge" or a "pinch"

A Million Questions
by ConcernedMom inhi, i have been lurking at this site and a few other jw or xjw sites in search of some clarity but i am just getting more confused...
my 15 year old daughter has been dating a 17 year old jw for about 2 1/2 months.
he seems like a very nice kid--very shy (he is just starting to talk around me now...still not too much to my husband).

Concerned, first of all I am a bit confused about your situation. I would have naturally thought that his parents didnt know, but since you add that they have invited you over to the house, it doesnt quite all add up. although I have been out of the Jehovah's Witnesses for several years, I am still young enough to remember what dating as one was like. Simply put, JWs do NOT believe in recreational dating. Usually young ones only begin dating when out of highschool and in a position to get married and THEN only to other Jehovah's Witnesses. They use the scripture that says "marry only in The Lord" as their reasoning for this. And since they believe that THEY are the ONLY true religion then their religion would be the only one "in The Lord".
I wonder if this young man is baptized? I highly doubt it. As a Jehovah's Witness baptism is a key position. I also wonder if BOTH of his parents are baptized witnesses or are they perhaps only studying with them. Sometimes people who are only loosely connected to the witnesses still call themselves that. I can tell you if that if this is the case, the Jehovah's Witnesses would not recongnize them as one. Or it may be, like others on this board that their family is in a form of transition away from them. Perhaps you should ask him or your daughter about this.
I can also tell you that my family are still devoted Jehovah's Witnesses, and they have not met ANY of my boyfriends that were not Jehovah's Witnesses, including a long term boyfriend of 3 years.
