Well, considering that according to the theory of time travel, you could only travel in to the future, and not the past, I suppose I would have to travel in to the future.

Guys ONLY... Hear me out, but did you notice...
by upside/down inthat most guys in the borg were .
i mean, i don't know about you, but i remember countless times that situations would develop involving young to old men alike, where me and other non-dub-raised "dudes", would comment that.... what that guy (bro) needs is a good ass-kicking!
i mean a good old fashioned beat your ass whoopin... i mean learn some real "humility" at the hands of your "friends".

I agree with you. Most of teh men I knew were over-run by their wives and mothers. Instead of being a man and talking/ kicking the shit outta each other, they were quick to run to the Elders to resolve it. As a female myself, I once got called in to a commitee meeting because I beat my adult sister up. Seriously it was well deserved. But that was just another example of the Elders trying to take care of domestic issues where it didnt belong. I had a MS friend who was removed for hitting his cousin in a basketball game. Go figure. Apaga of teh "not a man but I dont care I'm replying anyway" class

Do you still Patronize Women?
by limbo ini was thinking today about how jehovah's witnesses are conditioned to view women.
i'm sure there have been many threads and discussions on this subject.
just curious how you view women now that you are no longer a jw?

I tend to consider myself "traditional" if you will, in a relationship. I enjoy cooking and cleaning and being a domestic goddess. Not because it's expected of me, but because I WANT to do it. And I WANT to do it in a relationship BECAUSE it isn't expected of me. I still run a business, and speak my mind, and fix teh mistakes that the man makes. BTW, I am constantly Patronized by men. Do NOT call me "sweetheart". Why is it a woman cannot have a discussion with a man, be RIGHT, and not have them resort to calling you "sweetheart". I HATE that.

"Dokken is sweeet. THeir guitarist was (is) incredibly talented." George Lynch. After leaving he started his own band The Lynch Mob. Talk about vain. The guy is soooo full of himself. I went to see him play locally a while again. He took a TWO Hour sound check, and played for an audience of 40 people.

Sexual Harassment
by LittleToe ini thought i'd pose a question especially (but not exclusively) for the girls regarding sexual harassment.
what would you deem as unfitting behaviour?.
is it appropriate for a guy to ask if you are wearing any panties?
-
ApagaLaLuz
To be completely honest, If I saw a man in kilt, since it's not often that I do, I would ABSOLUTELY ask him is he was wearing any undies. But then again, I'm a pervert ;) But as to make any unwanted advances such as trying to lift or peak, that would be harrassing in my opinion. And of course I have double standards and would think it was harrassing if a man did that to a woman. As far as stepping in if I was witnessing it. I tend to believe that most woman can handle themselves. I wouldn't step in unless they specifically asked me to. I think most people are capable of saying "You know what, SERIOUSLY, knock it off, I dont appreciate it!" Anyone who continues past that point deserves whatever any spectator decides to step in.

Well since you've asked, I've already made a monitary donation, and signed up to volunteer with Relief International www.RI.org in preparing relief packages to send over next week. So there. A pity you questions others level of compassion. How tacky it would be for people to publicly declare how much they have given and volunteered. I think this thread you started is tacky as well. BTW did you not notice the header of this site with teh links to places where you can contribute?
Perhaps this news article will help ease your mind. There has been an "Overwhelming Outpouring" of donations, and tens of millions of dollars raised just online in 3 days.

also here is a link to other relief organizations inside the United States:
