How fondly we remember how he incessantly slurred "Ibid" repeatedly as he drooled on his chest, often tying them together in a peaceful mantra with other holy words, such as "er..." and "duhhh..."
How thankful we are that god has seen it fitting to have all but the four or five youngest members of the ever more invisible Governing Body take up this special aspect of sacred service.

back in 1995 a major change took place in the witnesses' 'understanding' of the generation that was foretold to see the end of the current 'system of things'.. no longer was it to be a literal generation that would see both the beginning of times of distress in 1914 and the culmination at armageddon.
instead the wts claimed 'new light' in interpreting the generation as applying to whichever generation of people were alive to see the final end.. also in 1995 another change took place that did not receive the same attention and may have remained unnoticed by the rank and file witnesses.
repeating a point already made in a watchtower issue of 1993, a new textbook to be used in the proselytising work (the knowledge book) was released.

it's taken from the very latest watchtower article (april 1, 2002) the final sentence of paragraph 14 reads:.
"if jehovah's organization knowingly endorsed false teachings, advice to read the bible would never be given to jehovah's witnesses and those to whom they preach.".

perhaps this topic has already been addressed, but at last night's service meeting we discussed an article in the kingdom ministry (jan 2001) called "how will they hear?".
it dealt with the fact that there are perhaps billions worlwide who have not yet been witnessed to.
the articel mentioned that the jws "trust in jehovah" (i guess its always the case when they have no answers) that those people, mostly concentrated in asia (especially china and the sub-continent) will have their hearts read by god and that he will know who are righteous and who are not.
Could this perchance serve to innoculate the masses for general acceptance of the new WT TV ads being trial marketed in the US Northeast, and beyond...?

It was truly a fleeting, soon to be forgotten, moment to see Br. and Sister "--------" last night, after 5 years without regular weekly cultic mind-dumping. It was the "loving" "shepherding" our "Elder Body" provided that had them return to a mentally dead life in the "true worship." After reading online posts by a few quibbling "apostates" as Br. "----" stated...they concluded that indeed ...Jehovahs Witnesses provided the security they needed to go on drifting aimlessly as yet 2 more conforming to the collectivist social norms imposed by a $Bazillion international publishing house posing as "biblical truth" and never have to take personal responsibility for their lives.

A couple of people have offered what I consider to be a great answer to your sincere question:
Ask him for yourself.
Sit still and quiet your mind and listen to your heart.
You might ponder something I like to think is part of the answer for me: Consider your blessings, then look around and find where you could be a blessing to others.
Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult for some of us raised with a dogmatic program to follow when we try to do something so simple. But, whatever the answer you find for yourself, the secret is then to do it, live it. And have fun!!

I agree: the letter is too wordy and antagonistic.
Keep it brief and to the point. Let the city drop the case if they want to, but inform every household that they have the RIGHT to prevent future visits to their private home.
I got a packet from CCI within the last couple of years, but never sent it out b/c it was so wordy and 'over the top.'
