December 15th WT gives example of sister who quit her job so she could go to an convention.
by life is to short ini was beyond mad when i heard this.
it is on page 30 of the wt.. it says "a pioneer named roxana is one who has seen how jehovah provides for his people.
when she asked her employer for permission to take some days off to attend one of our conventions, he angrily retorted that if she went, he would fire her.

Ever Disturbed by Something an Elder Said to You Personally?
by Cthulhu ini used to go out in service with this particular elder and after a while he developed a habit of saying...disturbing things.
i remember one occasion where he reminisced in rather graphic detail about a handjob some other guy gave him in school.
i recall another service venture when we passed a woman out walking her dog and he asks "do you ever wonder how many women who own dogs have sex with them?

Sorry for disagreeing PSacramento, South Africa did not go well. A large portion of the tickets were given away just to fill the stadiums due to a lack of sales.
A lot of people on the selection committee got rich over these 2. Unfortunately because of FIFA's history, it doesn't matter what process they're involved in, it will be questioned for legitamacy.

normally the brothers serving at bethel are also connected with some local congregation.
in my area, the brothers in bethel support different congregations in their city.. how is this in new york ?

by JWinprotest ini was fooling around with the street view on google maps and discovered that you can navigate pretty much throughout the entire grounds at bethal in georgetown ontario.
looks like all the roads are named and registered with the city, but it's still private property so the wts would have to give permission to do so.
i just thought it was odd that's all.. and yes, i am incredibly bored and i have nothing else better to do..

it's kinda weird because, even though we're doing a xmas tree, decorations, gifts, we're more or less taking the christ out of christmas.

My six year old is begging me to put up a tree this year.
We've done gifts for a couple of years now, but never decorated.
When I suggested it to my wife she didn't really object, (wife still wants to stay in the apostate closet for family). I'll let you know in a few weeks if she gives in.

This part of the outline tells you why they are toning it down. They know if they come on too strong or bash other religions, the chances of you coming back to a second meeting or start a study are slim.

Did the Trick or Treat thing with the kids for the first time

Fading.....the memorial was the last meeting i attended and it had been about 2 months prior to that.
However our families know we don't attend, they're just in denial.
