I'm puzzled highly so by your motive and intention of being here and why indeed you have bothered posting at all. Now, I have been out for just over 7 years, disfellowshipped, when I went to the elders with some psychological health reasons. You however, are obviously a dedicated Witness. I was in there for 28 years, so I know the score ok.
Question, here I am on the outside and you view it that you are on the inside, yet I know your own litureture and talks have often condemned internet activity because of the dangers inherent in meeting apostates online, or put another way, partaking of the table of demons. So, why are you here, for by your own actions, you should be hauled up by the elders for a JC, yet you preach to us you little arrogant git self righteously condemning yourself at the same time. Doesn't that make your actions somewhat hypocritical?

when i was 27 my brother held a bucks night party for my first marriage and we went to a strip joint.
de rigeure for the boys bucks night.
it was all a bit of a none event, so next night he brought around drugs to my house, marijuana.
Started smoking cigarettes in the fall of '96, followed afterwards by smoking pot, next shed loads of magic mushrooms, followed over time by quite a quantity of Esctasy pills, lots of LSD, a fair amount of coke, speed and quite a bit else besides.
The point is, you never do anything unless you're in the right frame of mind for it and you feel at ease with the company you have. Can understand how it might send you rather insane, but that was half the 'fun' of facing your own demons and telling them, those emotions, what they could do to go screw themselves.
A path I certainly wouldn't reccommend to everyone, depends on the individuals disposition I guess.
I've never taken anti-depressants in my life, cannabis I still take in every day, found it to be the only thing that's worked for me, relaxes my body down just nicely, don't get any hangover feelings the next morning, nor any feelings of paranoia, but that's just me.

how did you feel about identifing yourself as a jehovahs witness to others?.
i often used to hide it because of the stigma attacthed to it.. was anyone actually proud to be one?
Massively so, constant ridicule at school, segregation from school mates, segregation from the opposite sex, scared stiff of bumping into them on the ministry, segregation from any activities not considered 'wholesome'. It was just utterly dreadful, I don't understand how any rational mind / parent can ignore the internal pain of their children forcing them into such a standard of life. Then there was the issues that JW's are well known for, here I'm talking of the abuse issues. Many people know what they'ree about and to be associated by birth and called names which had no substance in truth used to make me cringe. Even to this day I still hear of accusations often personally, it makes me steaming mad, but I deal with it.
It might sound a dreadful thing to say. My marriage with Jo' did not work out and subsequently we divorced. Having lost out on the upbringing of my son, period, at least I can be appreciative of the fact that he never will know the ways of the witnesses, for this I am very very thankful.
