in my privious thread about sunday mornings i noticed alot of people , including me sited having a full english breakfast.

but the contents of that seemed to change with every person.

bubble and squeek? really? wow! i've never heard of anyone having that with a full english... this thread is going to be interesting!:)

in my house bubble and squeek was always monday nights dinner, along with cold beef/chicken from the sunday roast, all escencaily leftovers from said sunday roast... always best when followed by bakewell tart eh?

Which in my opinion is the best breakfast ever! especailly when you have a hangover...;)

mine would be: bacon ( crispy) sausages( nicely browned), fried egg( with the yolk still runny), fried mushroom and potatoe waffle

i know that fried tomarto and baked beans are usual but i don't like them, ditto black pudding.

definatly followed by tea ( milk) and toast ( marmarlade)

and then a good burb;)

ooh! and don't forget listening to steve wright sunday love songs on BBC radio 2 fab! or if weekday the one and only Sir Terry wogan:)

what happened to "peace and security"???

i remember growing up as a dub that everyone was constantly on the look out for what could be the cry of peace and security... then suddenly people just stopped, it stopped being mentioned in talks ... everything.

ahhhhh!

a lay in, slowly pottering around, doing whatever i like, a full english breakfast at 11ish, meeting freinds in town for coffee in the arvo... dodging all the jw's waving their mags as i walk through.... now that we are free, what do you do with your sunday mornings?.

explain the inexplicable?

over the past few weeks there have been some werid things happening in my life, several times in fact.. what has happened ( without having to explain every situ) is that i have been lets say person a looking for situation b, and suddenly and without trying i have met situation b who is looking for person a. this has happened very ramdomly and i couldn't say that there was any serious intent behind it except that i had a desire to find somthing at the same time as someone else and somehow we ended up finding eachother... but we met without trying in a utterly ramdom way???.

theories?

and don't say its god becuase i've spent night after night in my past in tears begging, pleading with god to do somthing, and nothing nothing has happened!.

how many times have we all seen that sign in the minstry?

also " no salesman" , " no harkers" etc.

in my congo it was the policy to ignore these completly, the poor people who just wanted to be left alone never had a chance.. i on the otherhand used to use it as an exhuse to fast forward on to the next house and finish up the ministry quicker.... what was your experiance?.

i was wondering if anyone here prays anymore? and if so, to who? What do you call god? what role do you think god plays in your life? Or do you not think god exsists at all?

For me i havn't prayed for 8 months, I've since found out on here that jehovah isn't gods name, and i have to say that in all the years in was a JW i don't think i ever had my prayers answered, even at the darkest moments of my life.

thoughts please?

Is ANYONE Listening???!!

when i was still in the cult i reckon i spent 90% of the meetings/assemblys mentaly asleep.

at one time i did try to concentrate on the talks, but just kept drifting away.

i even perfected the art of looking intently at the speaker while mentaly thinking up to-do lists, shopping lists and composing emails.. is it just me or not?
