After an entire family in my cong went apostate followed by several others the elders went in to a witch hunt.
Every missed meetings was questioned, rumours were spread like wild fire!
I wish now i had followed the apostates out then...

i'm sure topics like this have already come up but they tend to get hilarious with the absolute absurdity that goes on in the kh.
i was once counseled for not shaving after two days.
i was also counseled by a sister for eating lucky charms cereal.
wearing bright nail varnish when i was a teenager
hmm?
heres a question i was wondering about.. if you were in a situation like that, would you pray to god?.
i'm not sure i would.
well i was more thinking of a passenger plane to be honest
yearbook 1967 p.105 "{chad -africa}.....a large crowd was follwing a man who had a talking serpent.
the serpent gave greetings and spoke in foriegn tongues...a brother was passing by and attracted by the commotion, he went to the house...as soon as he entered the room the serpent stopped talking.
the man cried out: "a magican has entered the room"...the brother said: "is that a serpent or a demon that is talking to you?...i know that since god created the animals not one sepent has spoken, with the exception of the one in the begining in the garden of eden...seeing that the serpent remained silent the man left the building...later he was anxious to get some literature....".
one of the first doubts i ever had was from a yearbook experiance.
It was one of the "bad dr's forced me to have blood" stories. The story went that the nurse was handed the No Blood card by the JW and the nurse laughed and dipped the card into the blood that she was about to transfuse.
Thats not how blood transfusions work, they are not in a bucket or somthing, they are in a sealed packet! They have to be!

The whole lot of them are way over paid and i suspect have nothing driving them on to win.
Ok thats my cat amongst the pigeons for today;)
sorry for the long title.. i don't belive this will happen for a second.
but its an interesting question.
there you are at armargeddon, and god asks you " why you left the jw's?
For real... yes i would. Sorry but i've suffered and seen others suffer so that he supposedly can prove himself.

Sorry for the long title.
I don't belive this will happen for a second. But its an interesting question. There you are at armargeddon, and god asks you " why you left the JW's?" or " why don't you belive in god anymore?"
What would you say to him?
I belive i would say that no offence but hes very bad at communicating. He gave mankind a book full of fairy tales and allowed it to be corrupted and twisted this way and that. Hes so called chosed people turned out to be nasty evil fiends who cared nothing about eachother and went out of their way to show it. So sorry a eternity with those people? No you can stuff that god!
think about it... theres always some blood left in a cut of meat, you can't wash it all out.
what about stock?
you boil up the bones for gravy... whats in the bones that gives it the favour?

If JW's really wanted to adhere to their beliefs they would be veggies, but of course this would mean the bethal big wigs having to go with out their steak... so thats not going to happen!
i'm wondering if this phrase is perhaps being pushed recently in letters to the elders or circuit overseers.
i have heard it a time or two here in the last few days on the forum - specifically from a bethelite.. also, the last conversation i had with my presiding overseer about 5 weeks ago, he used this exaxt phrase: "i believe armageddon is only weeks away".. i know its been right around the corner for 130 years, but it seems this exact phrase seems to be floating around a lot lately.. what are your thoughts?
jw's usually don't think for themselves - they just repeat what those above them say.
they were saying the same thing after 9/11 too.
Look they have pushed armargeddon off indefinatly doctrine wise, they have to do somthing to pep up the rank and file other wise they would be leaving in droves.
I guess the question in responce is " and dos Bethal/ CO / Elders have any insider knowledge? Has god spoken to them personaly? ... No!"
