  i would like to propose an ethical dilemma for those who believe in the divine inspiration of the bible.. in the following scenarios i am not asking you what you would have done but rather, what you hope you would have had the courage to do.. scenario 1. you are camped on the east side of the jordan waiting for orders to cross into the promised land.

  moses is nearing the end of his life but he has some unfinished business to take care of before he hands over to joshua.

  he announces that he has had an instruction from god to take revenge on the midianites before he dies.

  Amercan politicians have frequently given their war efforts the God sanction, shall we say. From the American Revolution to the 2003 Iraq War God has been invoked. Remember America's Manifest Destiny?

  The Governing Body, Women and Yknot

  the governing body was so careful to keep this book out of the hands of women even to allowing a brother to help an elder laminate it (but only in the presence of an elder of course lol) but no not a sister.

  a sister could not help spiral or laminate this book even in the presence of an elder.

  what women haters!!.

A sister could not help spiral or laminate this book even in the presence of an elder. What women haters!!

  So here we have a woman, Yknot, our sister, helping the world to read this same book and yes, all you sisters out there who were not fit to even help an elder laminate the thing are now able to do what the Governing Body did not think you fit to do...read a manual written by men and only for men. There are several instances in the Bible where women were used to correct men, this event is something very similar. So...Governing Body, consider recent events as proof that Jehovah does keep YOU in mind.

  I Miss Field Service!

  yep, i miss those good old field service days but now i'm not allowed to join in the house to house work.

  so i've decided to do what i was taught to do instead; letter writing.. i'm going to take the money i once contributed to the kingdom hall and buy stamps with it.

  then i'll give a good witness to many in my area or in my state or across the country.

  The Governing Body uses the term FDS like the Pope uses his throne. But the throne is just a prop, like the Pope it's the GB that holds the power. It's just that in the Bible there is no term Governing Body but there is a Faithful and Discreet Slave. One holds the power, the other is merely the cushion upon which it sits.
