Jeff,
You say you've changed sides. Well, thats fine. I used to shop at Walmart I no longer do. No big thing here. Let it go.
almost imperceptible over time in some areas.. almost everything i ever believed, i have proven to be false.
almost every bit of my deep seated faith is uprooted by reason.. i am not bitter.
but i am quite reflective these days of how much i have changed.

this question was inspired by a question on another thread.
to the ex-jw community here,.
do any of you regret learning that wt is not god's organization?
No, I don't regret learning the truth. What I regret is foolishly believing anyone has truth.
do atheists celebrate christmas, the celebration of christ's birth?.
if so, why?.
Frankie,
"I don't give a fuck what any small minded dumb ass thinks is hypocritical about my doing so. Shit if that bothers him or hers moral sensibilities they can just kiss my ass."
I'm sure many a JW feels exactly the same, Frankie. They don't "give a fuck what any small minded dumb ass thinks" on this board.
I'm fine with that, Frankie. I don't give a fuck what JWs or exJWs have to say.
i never understood this.
they could've told herod where the baby jesus was but refused.
if they were satan's tool, they would've been thrilled to give the report..
Minimus,
"They could've told Herod where the baby Jesus was but refused."
How do you know this?

Hi John,
Call me stupid. I've been called worse, lol.
do atheists celebrate christmas, the celebration of christ's birth?.

I don't fault anyone who does not believe in God yet celebrates a festival they enjoy. That's been going on for thousands of years. I suppose what I find to be a breach is the insistence by some that Christians live a life consistent with their beliefs, and yet atheists who do not believe want to join in a festival of the very God they denigrate the rest of year.
If I don't believe in the Muslim religion and go so far as to demean it what would it mean if I celebrate Ramadan?

Thank you, Leaving.
so what do you think is the second most pleasurable activity a human being can do?.
i reserved the 1st for the obvious.. .
ld.
Having an ocean wave come over you, enveloping you with its strength and life.

Leaving,
"I hope you'll at least try to see my point of view, if only even a little."
I do Leaving. Thanks for your patience. I hope you also appreciate a little the position someone like myself who still believes in God and his Son is in. No longer a JW but still a believer is at times a lonely place. Trying to get some balance is not an easy thing. Like many here I gave up quite a bit when I made a stand against the Watchtower. That makes for a hard life, a very hard life. Taking "stands" is not such a good thing all the time, I suppose. But now, I'm just thinking out loud.
Again, I wish you a happy holiday and New Year!

John,
I suppose, like atheists, I too cannot make everyone happy with what I believe or how I express it.
Have a merry holiday.
