  Org's "rearranginging deck chairs on the titanic" serving 2 purposes

  in 2 weeks we will be announcing major changes in northern ohio congregations and there is quite the buzz in the area about it.

  just talked to a jdub from the detroit area that just underwent similar changes, and they mentioned it has been "quite exciting" to get to meet new brothers and sisters.

  so besides the cash benefit of selling a couple kingdom halls in the process.

  - having water sprayed on us with a hose.

  After watching the frontpage I answered "eh, no, not this issues".

  Householder told me: "Go home, and read them first before asking me".

  " on the broadcast screen at every regional convention world wide!

  well it has been a year now and if you look at the definition of imminent , we are well past the expiration date..

  G. feels better then ever. No worries, no obligations, no headache caused by the congregational meetings.

  Happy! But not always a better person, some cursing problems, rougher. Short tempered.

  So, yes and no.

  two things i noted at this year’s rc.

  1) the new teaching with respect to matthew 25:45 which was applied equally to the rank & file jw.

  this teaching is also found in the watchtower study for last sunday.. then he will answer them, saying: ‘truly i say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of these least ones, you did not do it to me.. 2) the new armageddon video which was a big shift.

  The urban legends we heard as JWs!

  how often have we heard some sort of sensationalist urban legend as jws?.

  here is an example i was told as a kid:.

  the experience of a sister who knocked on a door and was greeted by a big fierce looking man- intimidating and mean.

  In the Netherlands, in the early 80's:

  - the society trade meps to ibm, obtained an own satellite data chanel;

  - dutch ice producer uses blood for ingredients;

  - demons have jw children in focus, says demons itself;

  - jw art department makes hidden messages;

  - UN plans one world religion;

  - family of the pope are witnesses, pope reads watchtower / pope has bible study;

  - george bush halted his colonne and speaks with witnesses at 9/11;

  - heinrich himmler respected jw's;

  - we can trust the brothers;

  - Armageddon will come before the summer, don't plan a foreign holiday.

  This one i heard last month: the full household of president duerte (mad dog of asia) contains of jw's, the only ones he trust;

  An official jw story is that a tornado that killed a bunch of jw's in country (x) lead to extra sand winning in country (y), just in need to speed up the local branch building project.

  So not only informal, but also formal story's of that weird kind.
