i wanted to relate an experience that happened this morning.
it is regarding the new format for the meeting on thursdays in my area.
its not word for word but im summarizing what i heard, the best i can remember.
This reminds me of the conversation I had with my grandparents in 1995 about the then implemented generation change. They told me "We are shocked about this change and considering our believe is not the truth".
They had no alternative, and died some years later. It was my defining moment starting to doubt.

hello everybody :) i have been visiting this forum for some time.
i noticed that many can't really free from the past in the org despite many years outside of jw.
i was awaken with a bang.

It doesn't work for me, closed. For sure, I can not hear the focus on GB and the organization from the platform anymore. I tried it and I can not hide the effect on my face, looking angry. I know, I take it all too seriously, but I hate every aspect of it, knowing TTATT.
At the other hand, the JW lifestyle did a good thing to our family. We got good jobs because of our good presentation skills. Etc.
I worry sometimes about my 5th generation kids, and their future.
Living the JW lifestyle like you, will kill me, for true.

recent developments make me think they might be.
the problems they are facing are not just lack of funds but also draining authority, and the two could be a heady and explosive mix.
one of the best analyses ever written of the watchtower was a book called "trumpet of prophecy" by sociologist james beckford in the 1970s.
I think what we now see is a "writing on the wall" for the organization.
Just a first or second stage.
Compare it with the USSR, another system, with glasnost and perestroika, started because the old system was not longer sustainable.
jw.org is in a transformation because the organization was no longer sustainable.
This leads to erosion of the leadership fundament. That's what we are in now.
They are trying to change this with short term changes. That leads to more and more problems.
Because the witness life in their purple cloud, it will take a long time that the changes are effecting the end of the line. So, the rank-and-file is like the orchestra on the Titanic.
Playing music when the organization is sinking.
Let's see what happens in two years from now.

Yes, double speak. It's a characteristic of a sect, combined with guilt-tripping and money grabbing. 1+1+1=3.
If it looks like a sect, it sound likes a sect and it smells like a sect, it's the truth.

I showed my lovely wife the Broadcasting and her comment was "have they become crazy? The intro of Lett is performed on clown / child level. The money grabbing is so openly that if we had any intention to return to Jehovah's investment corporation, we don't. These guys are off track now.
So, some others have commented and I agree: there is nothing better then Broadcasting, they show their real face openly. Can you imagine how their performance will be behind the screens??

there is no end to their madness.
the co gave a talk on inspired error.
i have never heard of it.
So, then our recent CO was full of inspired error. Because he told the congregation (mainly oldtimers, the grey scourge they call it here in Holland), that paradise is for us only reachable by underground.
And with underground he told us, he was meaning the grave.
So, this CO was inspired wrong and maybe ahead of Jehovah's heavenly wagon.

of course, no one could ever fully replace "our oracle for over 50 years" (ray franz quoting karl klein or someone else on the gb back in the days of gb i in cofc somewhere ), but i have to wonder just who on gb ii has come to fill fred franz's shoes the most.
it seems like it is david splane.
he appears to be in charge of the writing department, proposes and pushes thru the gb most of the doctrinal changes (he announces them so they're his baby), and like ff, fancies himself musically inclined.
Amen. Splane sounds like he invented their fables itself.
The invention to put FF on the generation timeline is so humorous. And shameless also.
I watched Splane directing the AM choir and new that this man is thinking he is God sent.
