  JW anti-gay children movie viral in Netherlands national media + official reaction of JW spokesman Branch office

  and gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual organizations are shocked, and some gay people.

  Even JW's in the Netherlands are aware that gay people are equal. There are here some gay brothers, walking at the conventions with lady style bag's. The great escape is that they are gay, but don't practice it. That is allowed here and accepted by the local JW's.

  Most JW's here know that it is not so smart to publish this kind of movies. It will have some internal impact here also for the society. It feels so wrong.

  That's the different with JW's in country's like the US. Dutch JW's see their religion more like a lifestyle.

  Various Dutch (Netherlands) media mentioned the anti-gay children movie on jw.org,

  The official spokesman of the Dutch Branch office in Emmen declared that the movie is

  primary for internal use only, for JW children and not intended to upset the society.

  Publishing the movie is a part of freedom of speech, says the spokesman.

  He stated that the society will remove the movie from internet if there is a serieus upset to society,

  and has to be considered.

  Official Watchtower representative at Government / Religion meeting in Austria

  part 3 of maybe not so relevant information, but nice to know and opening my eyes during the past years, were this pictures of an official watchtower representative attending a meeting between the austrian government and the country's main religions.

  i don't know who the representative is, no names, no face, i cut and past it from some website.

  oldhippy hi I wrote in a related toppic that there is nothing wrong with a meeting like this. I think it is just a good thing.

  My main point is that the internal perception of jw.org is that it's wrong, and if a JW at a local level does the same he will be ousted.

  That's the hypocritical point of the organization I hate so much.

  When I first got these information I was happy to see the WTS was involved with governments and was maybe transforming to a mainstream religion. So, first not bad at all.

  Then they tried to hide the UN connection and got more distance again from mainstream in the perception to their members (they are at this moment still present at UN conferences).

  So, the untruth in the perception to their own members did open my eyes for good.

  Why haven't you been to the meetings?

  some cong-member asked my wife this question (in the street, stopping her on her bicycle) in a rather police-like fashion.

  i wasn't there so i don't know her immediate reaction and response, but she got very upset afterwards and one day later this still occupies her mind.

  i believe it's an emotional mix of anger, sadness, shame and guilt.. she doesn't like this intrusion in her privacy from some jws and on the next occasion she will try to make this person respect her boundaries (or just ignore her).

  in this recognizable situation I gave an elder the reply "I understand you feel obligate to ask me this question and I respect you. I hope you respect me, having no intention to give a reaction". He tried again ofcourse and I told him again "I respect you, I hope you respect me" and again. He gave the last words "no, i don't respect you" and that was it, he showed his cards.

  The source is simple: I cut and paste the picture during my late '90 internet connection.

  There was some witness who did a Bethel tour at Patterson and published his pictures of the

  tour on the net. One of the pictures was of the legal office and this picture was hanging on a wall.

  I just cut and paste it, knowing it could be for later use. So the source is the legal staff at Patterson.

  This picture openend my eyes about the Society.

  Later the United Nation connections and other political ties confirmed my opinion.
