QFR - Posting JW publications on a personal website/social media
by Listener inthe following is a qfr from the april, 2018 watchtower.
just a couple of articles back the organization was explaining how jws need to be encouraging and even when admonishing congregations jesus would start out with encouraging words.
we see none of this in the qfr, rather, it is heavy handed and legally incorrect.. why is it not permissible to post publications of jehovah’s witnesses on a personal website or on social media?.

Watchtower Rebranding
by Fred Franztone inthe wtbts has finally decided to join the rest of us in the 21st century and has begun rebranding.
they've dropped the iconic watchtower sign from their heaquarters, and it's only a matter of time till they drop the now embarrassing watchtower name completely; a name synonymous with failure on the one hand and concentration camps on the other.. the organisation will soon be known solely as jw.org, bringing them right up-to-date with the web 2.0 revolution of 15 years ago, and making them the only company still to use a full web address as their main identifier, very forward-thinking of them.. it's inevitable that they'll gradually rebrand everything.
what methods do you think they'll go with?

The speed with which I exited!!
by joe134cd ini was just thinking at how quickly the process was from pimi - pimo - pomo.
i must of spent about 10 years trudging along in the organization very unhappily.
but from the initial stages of learning ttatt to physically walking out the door the process took about 18 months.

What i see here in Holland is a growth of pioneers.
Strange, this fighting against decline.
Elders and MS with their family seems to be under presure to pioneer.
And many think they live in the last days.

How do I handle this?
by Phoebe ina little advice please.. it's now 7 months since i stopped going to meetings.
we still get regular calls by elders - at least every 2 weeks.
i can handle them.

Breaking: Walt Disney Studios buys out JWs.
by neat blue dog inin an all cash transaction, disney has purchased every share in the watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, inc.. their most recent in a slew of acquisitions including pixar, the muppets, marvel, lucasfilm and most recently 20th century fox, disney plans to "leverage their preexisting infrastructure and fan-base" for future content.. removing robert ciranko, who took over for don alden adams in 2014, disney is installing as president john lasseter, who already helms both disney and pixar's animation studios.
recently disgraced and on leave for allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct, disney said he was "just perfect" for the job.. plans include making yearly theatrical films with post-credits scenes as part of a crossover shared universe with preexisting watchtower film characters like caleb and sophia, the prodigal son, the roman family and the bad worldy boy from school (with nicholas king reprising and expanding his role), as well as an educational disney jr. show, "little chuck", aimed at toddler's, hosted by a young version of ct russell sporting a pretend beard..
