This is a shadowy group. Full of secrets and anonymity. They have shown in their track record a willingness to do and say just about anything to remain afloat. If need be, I would not be shocked if the people in the highest places were to stage an "overthrow" of the Watchtower and Bible Tract Society claiming to be themselves unknowing victims of the corporation aspect of the society, and start anew. My image is that the Watchtower is a removable and replaceable limb.
These people know what they are doing. They count on the ignorance and naiveté (which they foster) of the members. They use the weaknesses and strengths of people toward their own purposes. A good idea would be to exercise caution and not serve as fuel for their fire.

Fallout Over The WT-UN Contraversey
by Ranchette inyes, fallout has already begun (literally)over the wt-un contraversey!.
a long time jw friend of ours told my husband today that he has already disassociated himself from the organization after seeing the proof of wt's immoral affair with the beast.. this was the last straw for him.. i wonder how many others this info is going to effect this way?.

On this, I would just like to suggest that people print this out. When you go to the alphabetical list, click on the Watchtower link. And, print that page out. It should be sufficient considering it contains all the info. including the "DPI" assignment. And, also at the bottom of the page will be the URL including "un.org". A date should be there too.

If I may add some more...On the issue of forwarding Watchtower literature to the DPI. I do not wish to take the wind out of anyone's sails in any way, but I am pretty sure that they would already be quite aware of this.
I also want to suggest that perhaps the critical aspect here is not that they are involved with the DPI, but why they are involved. I have read so far only a sort of very surprised reaction that they even are involved and a desire to expose that fact. It might be said that the more important area of investigation lies in why they are involved. I feel like some are overlooking this. There is more to this than meets the eye.
Someone has made the observation that if masses of people are too quick to expose the conflict of interest and thereby nudging the DPI into an obligatory dismissal, this could be too easy for them to get out of and might propel their trail covering activities. I feel like this is an extremely important point. -

I would like to add a somewhat delayed response to the recent UN thread. Someone has asked why would the UN allow these people who have been overtly against the League of Nations and The United Nations since their beginnings to be registered in their Department of Public Information. I just want to show you some articles I found on the official JW website.
Note, in all three of these examples, the JW's are doing exactly what they are required to be doing. They are directing readers to United Nations literature. www.jw-media.org/rights/european_court.htmMy theory: Either they do not think it is a conflict of interest, or they figure the best place to hide is right out in the open. Also, one thing I've noticed about the JW's is that they make great attempts to cover their asses whenever possible.
I find interesting the following two quotes from an Awake! news "press release" obtained from a JW page curiously entitled "Authorized Site of the Office of Public Information of Jehovah's Witnesses"

Note the acknowledgment of the prohibition of speaking with others outside of ones group potentially being for the purpose of "protecting" the "feeble." My point: One of my main observations of this group is that they continually make acknowledgments of awareness of these type of tactics. The simple fact that they are aware could mean that they are also intellectually capable of utilizing these tactics. The JW's are a very crafty group.
and...
"Minos Kokkinakis, one of Jehovah's Witnesses, was arrested more than 60 times, summoned to court 18 times, and spent six years in prison as a conscientious objector and simply for speaking with others about his beliefs."
And, yet they do everything in their power to keep their victims from speaking with "bad associations" i.e....outsiders.

Note to JW's trying to find their way out: The best place to look for their hypocrisy and underhandedness is right within their own literature. You will find you will notice more and more which was right in front of you all the time.
