IS the issues that innocent children got killed or that LOTS of innocent children got killed?

I think we can all agree that even ONE child is ONE child TOO much !

Gun control is a given, though many will argue on the degree of Gun control of course.

The lesson that must be taken and that we must work to fix is the same as all the other mass shootings that we have had over the many, many years:

Violence is a justifiable option and killing, even children, is acceptable.

This way of thinking MUST stop !

Solve the root of the problem.

When kids shoot up a school because they were bullied, deal with the bullying issue not that they used guns of a certian type.

When someome is crazy enough and unhinged enough to kill children that aren't even teenagers yet, we must ask ourselves, WHAT did we do wrong? what could we have done to prevent this?

This being someone believing that killing kids was the way to go !

All the people that knew him, all family and friends MUST ask themselves, WTF happened and why didn't we see it? or perhpas more correctly, why did we choose to ignore what we were seeing?

The last day in question is the day of the resurrection of the believers, of the just and unjust.

See John 5:

24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and ( W ) believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and ( X ) does not come into judgment, but has ( Y ) passed out of death into life.

Two Resurrections

25 Truly, truly, I say to you, ( Z ) an hour is coming and now is, when ( AA ) the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who ( AB ) hear will live. 26 For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He ( AC ) gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; 27 and He gave Him authority to ( AD ) execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. 28 Do not marvel at this; for ( AE ) an hour is coming, in which ( AF ) all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, 29 and will come forth; ( AG ) those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

Words to the Jews

The last day is the BODILY ressurection, hince the "raise up".

There is no last supper in John because John decides to "have it" in this discourse here in chapter 6.

All those that "eat of Christ" are annointed because to do that one must profess Christ as Lord and, as Paul said, only by the sealing of the HS can one do that.

All those that "eat and drink of Christ" are annointed and they are annointed because they "eat and drink" of Christ and prolaim Him Lord.

Thanks Caminante. I thought, I may be right or wrong, that the WT applies this verse only to the anointed. I may be right or wrong.

Well, they are right AND wrong.

They are right that the resurrection is only for those that "eat and drink of Christ", which to them is ONLY the annointed.

They are wrong that only the annointed SHOULD do that since Jesus was clearly making an offering to ALL.

it just all hit me at once,i was with a friend earlier talking and i felt really good after our talk.

went down my moms,and wifey text me she going to meeting,and all this stress and anxiety hit me all at once.

ps thanks : i am willing to suffer for my wife,its like when you read about job and what he went through it becomes real,not just a story,though i can not compare myself to him, what a godly man, of all people he was the least that should of happened to. thanks its nice to have ppl who care, even though i cant put a face on any of you.

Don't look at it as suffering dude, this is your wide, youlove her and with love comes support and you are supporting her.

Love is never angry, never judges, love is patient, it always protects, it always trusts it always hopes and if itis hared by two people, it always preservers.

You don't know what will happen, but by following your love, you at least, will take comfort in your heart that you did all you could, as long as you DO all you can out of love.

A thought experiment about what it means "to be" GOD

all believers in god begin with the premise that he is the creator.. but-stop!.

what about before god was a creator.. creation is the "beginning" for the created--but--not for god.. .

Stop and think about this one point: does God come BEFORE the things he creates or not?

If God is GOD He is not subject to time so the notion of "before" doesn't exist, BUT I do see where you are going so lets follow that path.

If you answer "yes" then let's cut to the chase, okay? At whatever point in God's career he decided to begin creating let's begin this topic: RIGHT THERE.

It seems to be an issue of time, beofe, after and all that, which applies ot OUR universe but ther eis no reason to believe it applies to any other BUT lets assume it does:

If we keep going back and back in "time" to the point that God was before ( whatever before may mean) He created even HIS universe, far "before" He created Ours ( IF He created His universe because, for all we know, God may just be the first sentient being of a parallel universe that is infinitly older than ours, our universe that God created from His). If we start from there, what we have is a being that has always been ( for all intents and purposes), a being that is self-aware, self-relational and of such immense power that out of sheer will, this being creates matter and energy that starts the existence of what would be know as "Heaven". Billions of years before He does the samething to create Our universe.

So, what was God doing "before" He created HIS universe?

God " WAS" and for a self-sustaining and self-relational being ( something that we as realtional beings can't fully comprehend) that was enough.

I think the question is WHY did God start the creative process.

Unstop,

Take a pause, take a deep breath and know that we are here for you, Our Lord is here for you and will give you all the strength you need if you ask him.

We do not know what the future holds for any of us, bad things do happen to good people, but follow your heart and temper it with love and whatever may happen, your consience will be clear.

It's ok to "give a little" too, you don't always have to butt heads and remember that you can't force ANYONE do do anything.

Not believing in the JW's is not the same as not believing in Christ and God and your marriage, remember that the less you are there for your wife, the less she will feel you are there for her. Let love guide you my friend.

coming out in june 2013.. while i have always been a bigger fan of batman ( martial arts infulence) there was always something special about superman.. my favorite superman storyline is kingdom come.. i was never a fan of the superman series with christopher reeves, superman returns was at best ok and while i liked smallville ( tv series) it was overlong and had some glaring faults.. this movie, however, is filling me full of hope :).

It is very hard to make a call in what Johnathan said and what he meant in the context of that conversation but it seems to me that what is being shown is the anxiety of a parent whos child may be in very serious danger and does soemthing that could lead him into that danger.

I was never a big fan of the Christopher Reeve Superman or Hackman's Luthor, they were to, how can I put it?

Campy? Cheesy?

Christian Bale, not Christian Slater.

The whole premiss of SUperman is, for me, what intrigues me.

A virtually omnipotent being that serves rather than rules, that gives of Himself and suffers rather than imposing Himself.

Where as Batman scares crimimnals into "behaving", SUperman leads by an example of "doing Good".

Big boyscout indeed.

The trailers give me goosebumbs, I admit.

My wife and I saw the last trailer and we got all misty eyed, LMAO !
I think its the choice of music or maybe just that it is so well done that it does get a emotional response from you, either way it was freaking cool !

I liked Henry in Immortals and he just LOOKS the part.

I am very psyched ofr this movie.
