  Announcement to print from JW.ORG in service meeting

  yes, you read that correctly.

  last night during the service meeting, the cobe gave an announcement that we should start printing or using jw.org for any special literature such as the daily text, the yearly calendar, etc... he also mentioned to please cancel any orders of the wt and awake on cds because no one is picking them up and they are piling up.. .

  my question is, where did this elder get this info from?

  example - a girl who may not look like a skinny stick model at the beach in a bikini and rocking it.

  I credit my time in life drawing for my appreciation of many body types.
  

  I commented to my daughter on how lovely and muscular a woman was as she jogged past. I was most impressed how aligned her joints were, unlikely prone to injury. My daughter did not share my appreciation.

  Advice on fading needed

  these 2 options are before me right now-.

  1. write a letter to the elders and my family, not da myself but basically saying i have too much going on in my life and am confused, so that they will stop bothering my wife and stop asking me questions all the time.

  after i write the letter continue to go to the hall less and less.... 2. appease my wife.

  I agree that your wife's embarrassment will fade after a time. Hubby came up with some standard excuses and a few whoppers to keep off the nosy.

  I want her to be more in your side. Maybe fix up the house or do one of her chores while she is off at the meeting. I have a wicked streak and used to offer hubby to report four hours a month for "family study" night. You might do something for real, studying for instance, the Beatitudes, Hebrews or Romans. One rule, all her opinions are celebrated. This awakens her natural personality which might be more sympathetic towards your own independence.

  on my imac laptop i am typing away and suddenly my words appear on a different line, often within the text of an earlier sentence.

  it is nonstop and the tech advice online is difficult for me to understand/apply.

  never has occurred on my dell pc.. has this happened to you?.

  Yah DUH the laptop does not come with a mouse. But you can get one. I accidentally brush my touchpad too. The mouse solves that.

  i just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.

  also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.

  i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.

  One Eyed Joe, I was thinking of your wife and I wonder if some time might be spent directly reinforcing her natural personality? For instance, has she done an IQ test recently? Home schooled she never rated her intelligence against the general population. She might be genuinely surprised. She might also enjoy a brain teaser app on her theocratically approved iPad.

  both reopened mind and i are now in our early 60's and it seems our conversations lately have been on putting everything up for sale and buying a rv and travel until we can't anymore.

  it has been a dream of ours for along time to see all the site's in the u.s. and canada.

  we feel we could make money as we go by selling and teaching using herbs and gardening.

  I have a similar dream to travel my summers providing instruction in remote mountain communities. I would have to establish a schedule first. The internet makes this easier. Do you have a twitter account? That might make it easier to connect to other herbalists as you travel. I notice that RV travellers eventually settle in to an RV park when they slow down.

  i have suffered with menopausal symptoms for a few years now.

  hot flushes and facial sweating, the most noticeable to others.. a sister i knew used to laugh and pretty much, mock me.

  i used to say "you wait till you get them" , without being nasty.. i seriously hope she suffers.

  Hey I will complain to anyone with the time and I ain't twelve either. I had a balloon ablation years ago which at least cut down on the bleeding. Hubby wasn't getting any sleep from my flashes so I did discuss options with my doctor. With the other meds I am on and a familial hatred for estrogen, we decided to go with Black Cohosh. I was warned it would provide small relief.

  The medical profession is concerned with more than life threatening conditions. There is also quality of life.
