  New BOE Letter Re. Elders/MS Appointments and Deletions

  from the wording of the letter it seems that the co has been given carte blanche with appointments and deletions.

  nowhere in the letter does it indicate that any records are sent to and from the co to the branch office.

  even if a body wants to delete an appointed brother and he disagrees his only recourse would be to write a "brief" letter to the service dept.

  Regardless of any attempt to remove culpability from the head organization, the elder's manual and the BOE letters themselves are bread crumbs that lead straight back to headquarters.

  Local leadership at the Kingdom Halls is truly a thankless job.

  i threw things out i thought that they might have a nest in.

  i soaked some things in hot water all day.

  Diatomacious Earth is great. I would buy it at the pet store. I would leave out a a bowl for a pet rodent; chincilla, guinea pig, hamster or gerbil, which will happily roll in it. The dust picks up all the oils in their fur and leaves them fluffy clean.

  had a pretty deep conversation with my 'still-in' wife.. came home from some business, read some more in c.of c.. then my wife is sick and will not make the meeting tonight.... .

  so we're are both home listening in to the meeting on the phone together.. it's been about a year since i've been to/listened to anything.. .

  so weird.. and i'm posting here with it on in the background.. .

  That reminds me of an afternoon working at home, where I listened to a futurist discuss the upcoming changes to transportation. It was mind-boggling, that's for sure! Hubby claims to ignore my work stuff, but he was sitting beside me and he heard it all. He had several days of dissonance, trying to make paradise and the coming armageddon as being more important than this news of an exciting future.

  about a month ago, i realized that i didn't really care about my still-in jw family.

  i just want to be left alone by them.

  they caused me so much grief.

  My mother is not so brutal, but she is too selfish to give anything of herself. I am grateful she lives far enough away. The last time I visited her she went through the photo album and listed all the faults, failings and scandals of our various relatives. I am sure her tongue is just as toxic about me when I am not there. Yet, she extracts any shred of accomplishment out of me so she can put it in the annual Christmas card. Got to keep up appearances, you know.

  You have no obligation to these people. Leave them and live a grand life.

  france now has more than six million muslims.. germany now has four million muslims.
