me, i don't post often, and yet i feel this is the time too. I come here because I find relief, I find people that understand how i feel. Sometimes, you feel your all alone, here you can express yourself. I mean one day it's new light , the next old light back to new back old, old to new, damn just what is it. I find myself confused because, i am not thinking for myself, but letting others think for me. On here I see that people can disagree, and have differrent thoughts and not be shunned.

Why do you come to this site?
by sinis inafter all the years i have been here, i have slowly progressed to the point that the bible, god, and all the other religious stuff out there is just plain bullshit!!!
yet when i first came here and was told by some of the members that that is what i would logically come to, i did not believe them, and yet they were right.
i realize that a lot of people on this board have left, or are struggling with themselves or family to leave, yet many still believe.

Did I commit the unforgivable sin?
by AlexHall inwhen i was ex-communicated by the jw s a couple of years ago one thought ran through my mind.
had i commited the unforgivable sin?.
i have willingly divorced my wife without a scriptual reason for it.

My dear friend David committed adultry, and Solomn was a pimp, Jehovah forgave them. It's not Jehovah that doesn't forgive it's the Organization, even they say he is ready to forgive. "The unforgiveable sin" There was a Wt on this very thng some years back, the advice give was to still come to the mettings. If it's such a thing, why come to the meetings.

Long time reader.....first time poster
by JWinprotest inhello everyone, my wife and i are currently associated with jw's.
my mom converted when i was 3 years old in 1975, my wife was born after her parents converted.
about 4 years ago however, my wife and i have seen many things that have discouraged us enough to start doing some research into the validity of this religion.

You know it so interesting to me , how we all find oursleves in the same boat. Like many, i don't give public talks anymore, my wife is is Pioneer, and even she gets fustrated many times, because you have elder's wives that want to run everything. As for as me i would sit back during elders meetings, (we had two congo. meeting at the same hall) and i would say is this it. Where is the Holy Spirit, there was so much arguing, and each PO, wanted his way. it really made me start thinking, I searched for comfort and found it here. I do thank all you for helping me stay sane. I just too started posting, I just couln't hold in any longer.

YOUR DAILY JOURNAL
by compound complex indear friends,.
much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

Today is special, I finally decided to write how I really feel, and to express myself with people that won't judge me or belittle me for wanting to be me. Now when i get off work, I can go have a drink.

food at the proper time defense - help
by song19 innothing irritates me more than after spending hours showing a dub exactly why they are wrong and why they are false prophets... rather than defend themselves on each subject they all seem to go back to the food at the proper time argument and stop thinking.
its like everything said is wiped clear.. .
anyhoo, i am now left to contest that argument... before i do, i would like to get some of your feedback on good ways to overcome their broken record answer..

You wobble made a good point, about the lies, were they the proper food at the proper time then. Now I want everyone here to know I love Jehovah, I just don't see how it can be said we are getting the proper food at the proper time, when it keeps changing, and really it just reminders, these we have already heard.

This is a excellent topic, hello all, I am new, but I have been coming here for 2 years. I have always been confused, Jehovah reads hearts, not what religion your in, as always one says to rely on, Jehovah , we will get the food at proper time to answer all things. I must say that many of you, have opened my mind, help me understand alot. I thank all of you. From my heart!!!
