The dumbest thing ever is if for those years he was YouTubing had he tried to learn the art of it, he would have no problem finding a job. Companies are desperate for good content people and they usually pay well too. The only thing he's managed to master is being a smug interviewer. Unfortunately for him, there aren't many jobs that need a smug broadcaster for ex-JW and religious content.

Loser is the best description right now. Dude is 45 trying to attract a 25 year old and failing hard. Imagine, being that age and deciding you're going to become a musician or a stand-up comedian and having no experience in either. Hats off to him if he can somehow pull it off but these are called a young persons game for a reason. It is extremely, extremely hard for him to break through. Now imagine trying to do that and when people google you they find out you had an addiction to prostitutes.
Speaking of his dating life, its hard enough to date when your divorced without tons of baggage. When I was going through my divorce I dated a woman casually and mentioned being married before but didn't get into the details, so she started digging on her own. She thought I was still married because my ex-wife didn't change her status on facebook. Even with an amicable breakup some found the divorce just in itself a red flag. For Lloyd it's it's gonna make 99% of women run.So now you have a 45 year old man who had delusions of grandeur, living alone, probably not being able to get a date and no real possibilities to earn a living. All brought on himself because his ego wouldn't allow him to just fess up and apologize for hurting his audience.
With all this, he hasn't needed to take a mental health break from his audience.

He’s just dumb enough to argue “income” is what you make after expenses and taxes. He’s likely calling a lot of holiday travel work since he tweets during it. He’s probably got some way of making the cost of gas he used to see his sex workers an expense. So his total “income” is low.

This is a common thing in Croatia, so it makes sense why a lawyer there would be ok doing it. There are currently 935 cases ongoing just against journalists. Seems to be a common practice. This to me at least explains the lawyer angle. His lawyer should be willing to step aside so as not to hurt their client with an untriable case. Makes you wonder if there is a bar association and how seriously they take these sorts of things.

For me, aside from the second-hand evidence which he hadn't refuted. The evidence was in his first public statement after Kim announced she was going to do a livestream with me. Where he said anyone he had seen "sex worker or otherwise". He needs to show hard evidence the sex worker he "dated" was in fact really dating. The defense has to prove it had reason to believe that these allegations were true. Part of that defense is that Lloyd has a history of lying. Then, get him on the stand and show him lying again. Without any verifiable evidence, evidence that has never been given to the defense, my understanding of the Croatian laws around this is that he would lose his case. Defamation and libel require malice. Something he won't be able to prove.
All of his "evidence" is going to be his word against ours or evidence no one saw. So they had a reasonable reason to believe what they saw was true. That's why it's so difficult no matter what country you're in to win a case. Especially in a country like the USA where there is a jury. He would have 0% of winning any case he filed there. Solely because he'd be so unlikable to a jury and a proven liar.
This of course is ignoring the basic legal principle of jurisdiction. He has to prove the crime took place on Croatian soil. Or have some sort of extradition treaty for low-level crimes.
My theory now is he is betting on the Croatian court system being "glacially slow" knowing full well they will reject it. All the while he can let this blow over and recover. Just a tough time in the distant past. When the court made a decision he and his lawyers were caught off guard. Now they can re-file and cross their finger. Hoping it takes longer this time.
It will likely backfire again and the biggest loser will always be his pocketbook. The thing some might speculate he is likely trying to make look as small as possible for his ex-wife. Alimony and child support are coming if she is indeed following through with the divorce.

I think the whole thing is tricky since we're not Croatian. When I was doing my research before the biggest win for defamation was from a politician. I also found an article (link below) about the system is abused but 90-95% of cases are thrown out and the defendants typically win. It also states that defamation is very hard to prove due to how the law is written. This article also gives more clarity on what his lawyer is doing.
Based on the article below it would seem these frivolous lawsuits are common and take forever to get through the court system. Sometimes 5-7 years. A tactic meant to bleed out the defendant in a court case. Would explain why the lawyer took his money and did what he did. I also think they thought it would take a lot longer for the court to get back to them.

He is in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation but I think it's actually worse for him to go this route. He risks a judge having to review the case. Imagine her watching his confession/apology video and him validating the claims she made. The claims she didn't make but he implied she made was on Thailand. No where did she say he visited a sex worker. This leaves the other claim about him being divisive the only claim that he could claim is defamatory. One link here to the original post shows that it also was not defamatory. Please for the love god Lloyd why couldn't you just take the L??

I believe #6 is claiming that the M7 made claims that he made all his content in one day. As some sort of defamation campaign that because he made it in a day he was grifting his audience out money claiming it takes a long time to make. Again, his problem is he never showed any evidence to the contrary even if someone made the claim or legit believed it. The majority of his claims he showed no evidence to the defense any of these were an actual lie. I'm sure he'll try to rope in that I made claims he was a smut peddler. The problem again for him his once I found the evidence JLE wasn't him I apologized for it and set the record straight.
That's another problem for him. Many of the M7 actually swatted down lies and defended him. Something that doesn't work for his 'they were out to ruin me" tactic.

Not sure how it works in Croatia but in most of the civilized world in order for defamation or libel to be proved you have to prove the person you're suing knowingly told a lie with intent to harm. As in, saw overwhelming evidence that what they were saying was untrue and still said it. His whole defense is "my word against theirs". The problem is that he will have to prove to a judge his word is good enough. The sum of a trial would be a lawyer showing numerous times that Lloyd lied so therefore his word can't be taken seriously.
There really isn't much to the case other than the two key questions before a judge. First being, do the defendants have reasonable cause to believe Lloyd was seeing prostitutes in Thailand? Well, he himself admitted to using prostitutes for years. he admitted to "dating" a "sex worker" in Thailand. I think most judges would find it reasonable for many to assume that yes he in fact did use a prostitute in Thailand. With that, it's also perfectly reasonable to speculate that any prostitute used may have been trafficked. It's now up to HIM to prove all these are not true in order for anyone to be found guilty of defamation or libelous.The second is if Lloyd is a "public figure" so therefore, defendants are immune from criminal liability due to the extremely high bar that comes with that. It would be easy to argue that this sort of talk is protected as "free speech" (Croatia has a carve-out specifically for this). Lloyd can't claim he makes money as a public figure and therefore is entitled to X and then claim he isn't a public figure so should fall under the laws for a private figure.
It won't go to court but if it did I think his biggest issue would be Dijana. I think that has been his biggest fear all along. She knows all the secrets. Get her in a deposition and watch how fast Lloyd would likely drop the case. I suspect that is why he kept playing really bad defense on this trying to get ahead of it. He knows Dijana talked.
