I want to say I was "with" Viv (via chat) when she did this, and she was awesome. After she got him on the phone, she fired up a cigarette with a steady hand and then launched into him. She was inspiring. I wish you all could've seen how she was. She didn't let up and was totally in control of the situation. I am so proud of this girl and her courage that I'm pretty speechless.

i was just talking to a friend (a ms jw) that told me that he was told by the elders on a talk he was about to give that according to their last elders school there are instructions not to use the terms "the watchtower society" or "the society" or "the organization" anymore... but rather to now always use "the faithful and discreet slave" or "the slave"... .

I've heard the expression "the branch" used instead of the "society" as well.
even i was shocked to hear that bill parcells comes out of retirement to coach the cowblows .i think there is even a rumor that troy aikman will come out of retirement to qb .
i don't know what do you think the cowboobs chances are next year?

First year might be rough. Traditionally the first year under Parcells is a losing one, simply because he spends all the time teaching and cleaning out dead wood. Expect that to be the case in Dallas. The good news is, every team he's coached (Giants, Patriots, Jets) all made it to the playoffs in the second year that he coached them.
But keep one thing in mind, he has a losing record when coaching without Bill Belichick at his side. He's never won a Super Bowl without Belichick, but little Bill has won one without Parcells. (Patriots, 2001)
But one thing is sure, Parcells is light years ahead of Dave Campo. Heck, my dog could outcoach Campo, who was simply a Jerry Jones puppet.
steve and i attended our very last meeting this evening.
i wrote a thread a few weeks ago about our elder visit and their decision to announce that we were disassociated.
they agreed to wait until we returned from our vacation so i could tell my grandma who still attends via phone link and so she wouldn't have to be alone in her devastation.
Looks like a pretty small crowd.
