  hi, i'm new here and would just like to introduce myself to everyone.. i'm ellie, 29 years of age, from the uk.

  was never actually baptised, but brought up in the truth, my mum and older brother are still in but my dad was disfellowshipped shortly beofre he died.. not quite sure where i stand on my beliefs, partly still a witness at heart, but loveing being able to celebrate life without restrictions.. will be good to hang out here and hopfully learn a lot and get to know some like minded people!.

  if we were to accept the bible's view, anyone having sex with someone other than their spouse would be considered "immoral".

  I still have the brainwashed view deep down, for some reason, I find it hard, to consider two people living together as right, although I know I am using a mademade ruling. The deprogramming is going to take quite sometime.

  when i asked the elder about blood fractions he said that they are allowed because the bible does not speak directly to fractions....well if the bible does not speak directly to fractions, upon what did they base the below statement in the reasoning from the scriptures book....... .

  Swine flue is just another strain of flu - it doesn't kill any more than the normal flu

  The economic crisis is part of the normal economic cycle and is coming to an end

  The current arseEmblies (great term) are just saying what has alsways been said to line the coffers

  i don't go to the meetings anymore for i am fading, but a short while ago something happened in a meeting i'd never seen in my entire life as a jw.

  the local needs discussed the fact that the local branch had bought a new kh for a whopping 1 million euros.

  that's insane, but not the part that got me.

  Fascinating stuff. My Grandfather was a mason, when we were very young we has an attic full of mason parafanalia, when my parants split my mother burnt it, obviously demonic and evil. I believe it is quite valuable now.................life's a bitch.

  just a few questions I don't want to ask directly hell

  hello - first may i apologise for capital letters my keyboard has gone screwy.

  for the last several months i have been having meetings with two really nice women from the jw organisation.

  i don't want to offend anyone by asking these questions i am simply trying to better understand how the watchtower came about without listening to too much anti stuff.
