  now that "habemus papam", i was wondering how it is that someone in the watchtower becomes a member of the governing body.

  does anybody know?.

  and, how do they choose who gets to be a member of the corporations?.

  Interesting. The short answer would be "Jehova's witnesses don't know how the members of the Govening Body are elected".

  I know that these days there are some members of the GB who are not of the anointed, but let's go back and think about the time when they were all anointed. It's always YOU who tells the world that you're one of that "class".

  It would be even more interesting to know how you become a member of the board of the corporations. That should be available in a public instrument, right?

Chávez was an extremely narcissistic man who was clever to occupy the place of a Messiah Latin Americans crave for. But a squanderer of immense wealth he was, and an autocrat as well. The sad thing is that his death will make him a saint.

  october 27, 1962. a soviet submarine was being bombed with depth charges by us warships who had detected the submarines presence in waters off cuba.. in the emergency the soviet submarine captain ordered a torpedo attack on the american warships.

  problem was, the torpedo's were fitted with nuclear warheads.

  the submarine could not contact moscow for authorisation.
