Great job, flipper! It amazes me how they will take face value that someone like that "has changed" , but can't believe a kid who accuses them. Keep up the good work.

Shared Child Abuse News with JW about Nancy Garrido being a JW
by flipper inwent to the post office the other day and saw this older jw , an elder, was outside holding the wall up leaning on it while being frozen standing there like a mannequin holding watchtowers and awakes .
i had one of my news releases from a sociologist explaining that phillip garrido used nancy garrido and the jehovah's witnesses to get out of prison so he could have access to children for sexual crimes ; thus enabling him in 1991 to kidnap jaycee dugard.
the title of the article is : " sex offender phillip garrido used jehovah's witnesses to get early parole ".

Explain My Weird Dream---The Watchtower Was Using The Word "Minimusize"
by minimus ini remember seeing the wt.
magazine's frequent use of the word "minimusize" in a positive light.
and there was the sound and smell of ground coffee that was in the background.

Min, I'm sure this is a prophecy. You will infiltrate the Watch Towers mind control system. The people will begin by repeating your name. Then you will be able to have the people turn on the GB. Once you have accomplished this, because you are a good person, you will get the people to think for themselves, the wt will be abandoned and you'll be able to drop out of the picture.
Yep, I'm sure that's what it means. .............You smooth criminal.

Your worst field service experience.
by littlebird inmy worst field service experience was this.. i didn't have a car at the time and so a pioneer sister was picking me up of service every couple of days.
she was my partner and i got a door where the woman was clearly not interested.
as i am stepping away the pioneer sister starts in with all the objection stoppers.

I hated calling in my neighborhood. I remember a part in the circuit assembly where, they basically told kids to get over it if they run into a classmate, "the work is urgent" blah, blah , blah.
Reading these has really made me feel bad for making my kids go out in service.

Ziddina, your experience reminded me of the time I went to the door with an older sister, who actually stuck her foot in the door as a woman closing it! I had no where to hide.

The Watchtower hates the word, "You"
by moshe indozy brought up a good point a few months back about how the wt uses third party terminology to obscure their real motives.
i thought it was a good idea to revisit this wt writing technique.. (http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/184897).
look at the nov 15th 2009 wt, "treasure your place in the congregation" and compare what happens when we replace the third party terminology (words in bold type) with first party words.

Seems like there are quite a few naked people, they must know their bodies are scary.
with householders who actually knew their bible. I know what you mean! If they didn't have responses from the reasoning book, I was lost.
Working with an over-zealous elder who doesn't want to take a break Dont these people ever need to pee, stretch or eat!

Believers: Does Jesus Personally Talk to You?
by leavingwt insome of my christian co-workers have related to me how jesus has spoken to them.
one of the comments that i remember specifically, was this:.
"jesus put it on my heart to [take a certain course of action].

Hello leavingwt,
I don't hear an audible voice, I don't hear things in my head, but I feel things in my heart. I feel moved to do one thing or another. I don't always listen to it, and wish I had. When I do listen, I've had some crazy prayers answered. For instance, and I know some will think I'm a nut, but my cat had been missing for 3 days, I love this cat. I prayed about her, acknowledging that I know God has more important things to do, but I really wanted my cat back. I was in bed, about 10 minutes later, I felt the urge to get up and open the door, guess what? There she was.
The biggest difference from when I was a jw, was that as a witness, I felt paralized to make decisions. I couldn't do anything without getting out a bunch of bound volumes to see what they said before I could make a move. I had an over obsession with worry about how my decisions might stumble someone. Now I just make a decision, and know God will support me. If's something critical, I try to go where the heart leads me.
Thanks for asking the question.
