Leppermessiah- I dreaded field service due to over zealous service nazi's. My husband got stuck with an elder who insisted on doing rural territory after it had rained. His car got stuck in the mud and everyone had to get out in their suits and push him out.

the governing body constantly tries to impose its will on jehovah's witnesses.
they really don't want you to do anything but society approved things.
everything is "bad".. we can see this quite clearly at this point.
I felt protected at first, I was 16 when I started studying and came out of a really bad home life. As time went on, I realized conscience matters werent really up to us, and evidently I seemed to always stumble someone, so then I felt controlled.

Every time I went out in service, this sister insisted we make a return visit on this lady. I didn't want to, but I was in her car, so we went. The woman started not answering, or would send her kids to the door to say she wasnt home, even though we could see her through the window. One day she finally answered, and who did you think she yelled at, not the pioneer pest, but me. She really let me have it about pestering her and I was invading her privacy and she through in a few choice names.
My husband felt bad for me so he thought he'd take me out to an amusement park the next day, 20 mi. away. Guess who's there? Yep it was the householder and she decided she would invade my privacy for awhile and follow me around, calling me names and pointing at us.
From then on, I told the pioneer sister I was too sick to go out with her.
What have you experienced?
so oompa has lost 15 pounds the last three months....i kinda wanted to...but it is really easy on this diet....for many reasons....leaving wife...going through settlement (arrrggghhh)....pending divorce.....pending totally losing jw parents and son, and of course already lost all my lifelong jw friends....and then of course there is secret trouble aplenty which most of you could prob guesswhat oompa is involved in......... so anyway...i have always carried stress in my tummy...as in kinda nervous stomach.....so i also lost most of my appetite...and then the great part is when i do eat...a lot of times i lose it about ten minutes later anyway!!!
!..........very effective way to lose weight.....and i know i am not the only one like this....but all i need is about another three weeks of this hell and i will be at my high school weight!!!!!...............oompa.

I hate that diet. Please get some relaxtion from the crap for awhile. Take a little trip, go fishing or something. All bad subjects are off limits for a couple of days.

I do believe he has more components than just "love" and he does say in scripture that "Vengence is Mine", so therefore, I do believe that is one of his traits.
I believe as our Creator that he does have the right to have expectations of us and one of those is accepting his son. It has nothing to do with fear, I want to worship him.
As to whether or not an individual is evil or not, is not for me to say. Scripture seems to indicate so, but as for myself, I don't know. If Christians are correct, that Jesus was the sacrifice for sins, then belief in that sacrifice is the only way to benefit from it.
I'm not here to debate whether Christianity is right or wrong. Paul asked about sin from a Christian perspective, that's all I'm attempting to answer. The scripture he used in Hebrews doesnt apply if he believed in Christ. As far as I know, he (or whoever) can whack til it falls off and Christ will still love him.

Paul, we all delibrately sin, the fact you think about it shows you wish you wouldn't do it , but yet you still do. That's the fallen flesh, we do what we wish we wouldn't. That's why believers are under God's grace.
However, the scriptures you refer to is Hebrews 10:26-31
F or if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment, and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries. This is not speaking to believers. This is speaking to people who have received the knowledge of the truth and rejected it. What is the truth? Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for sins for those who believe in him. If a person rejects him, there is no sacrifice for sins left for them to rely on.
Jws like to apply this to believers in order to put fear in them, but when you read it in context, you find that it isn't about believers to begin with, prime example of the scripture twisting they do.

No one can ever be "good enough;" that is the point of the sacrifice that Jesus made.
“But God recommends his own love to us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more, therefore, since we have been declared righteous now by his blood, shall we be saved through him from wrath.… The one who did not know sin he made to be sin for us, that we might become God’s righteousness by means of him.”—Romans 5:8-9; 2 Corinthians 5:21
It is not good works that makes us acceptable to God, but it is our faith in his Sons sacrifice that makes us righteous Romans 4:5 states "the man that does not work but puts his faith in whom declares the ungodly one righteous his faith is counted for righteousness."
Clearly, God does not want us to practice sin anymore. It's not what is best for us and it doesn't bring glory to him. If someone is using Christ sacrifice as an excuse to sin, you have to wonder if they ever excepted Christ as their savior in the first place. That would be like saying " Hey Jesus, thanks for dying for me, I think I'll go hump everybody on the block tonight."That attitude is different than someone who falls into temptation and sins. 2Tim 2:13 says "if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself" As his sons, or daughters, we are part of him, just as my children are part of me.
