Conventions/Assemblies in England
by ScottyRex indoes anyone remember haysbridge, crystal palace, twickenham, dorking from the 80's/90's.........so many memories there.
the 5p lunch vouchers, the aroma of bacon rolls and hot doughnuts at twickenham, the smell of coffee as 50,000 odd opened their thermos flasks at lunchtime.
walking around endless laps of the perimeter of the stadium at break times, watching the airplanes flying low over twickenham stadium en route to heathrow.. cinema style seats at dorking assembly hall, the baptismal pool built into the stage, flapping my hands in the water and getting told off.

Just to clarify... They dint build any excelators at HB they were at twickers... HUGE things....
My dad had helped on the building and refirb at HB... He loved telling about his experiences, especially as one brother drove up in a really plush sports car....
Porche or something and then drove it through the mud as if it were nothing to him...
My dad was always so proud at this, kept him strong for a long time...
Oh, my dad was one of the car park attendants at the refirb...

I think the phrase "as long as noone gets hurt, it's ok..." it's a little misleading...
If you are in a serious relationship and can foresee a future then have intemet relations and lots of exploring your partner is a natural bonding proccess...
It is beautiful thing that should accur naturally, I usded to dread the day I got married, because it would be expected rather than anticepated... :)
As it turns out, me and my partner are very natural... :D

The main issue is that once you come out, you dont really want to make that many friends in the 'world', though you cant ascociate with the JWs...
It's a renching of the stomach and should be viewed as child abuse, somtimes... :)

Thank you, I'll check that out in one moment...
It's odd to me that some of you guys are a little scared of sharing that, but it's all cool with me...
I dont personally attend the meetings any more, I doubt they would like my long hair... ;)
They may come to me if they like but the one thing to always get a witness nervous is to say these words... "now just THINK for a moment"... lol

What are the outrageous things did the elders do to you?
by asilentone inthis is a true story, more than 10 years ago, i went to the memorial and there was a very hot bible student female.
we met each other, she gave me her phone number.

Laughed in my face...
Told me to go away... (this was after me prooving i was smarter)
Calling me silly names to encourage...
Telling me to be more enthused in the 'Truth'... Then saying I'm too serious about the 'Truth'...
I think the worst thing that any elder I've known of is thinking that they have all the answers... Only a fool thinks he is all knowing, for he knows not where the end of his knoiwledge is...
