How did you feel when you got baptized?
by Schnufti inback in 2005, i remember sitting in the stadium in the special rows with 42 others.
8000 people were looking at us - maybe even with a binocular - while listening to the speech.
my family and my friends among them, being all proud of me.. i don't remember being enthusiastic.

Yes I felt different, I was now wet.
no & never expected before that I would be any different.
I only got baptised because of pressure from my uncle, as I would have to move out if I was not baptised.

I was in Honolulu back in april & observed the same thing, I sat drinking coffee for an hour watching a group of 3 cart witnessing, all 3 just sat there, no interaction with the public at all. Same thing a few days later in Kona, zero interaction, no passerbys interested, just a waste of time & lives

Yes.
7 years ago I was in hospital & I was aproached by the staff as the records showed I was still a JW. I had that reference removed & had the records show that I WOULD accept blood as a last resort. The staff had approached rather nervously & when I confirmed I was no longer a JW, there was a huge relieve on the faces of the staff, the atmosphere in the room immediatley changed.

GUYS: The Importance of Keeping Medical Appointments
by compound complex ingreetings, guys:.
all of us -- men and women -- should keep our medical appointments.
i address this post to guys, however, given my own reluctance to go to the doctor.

I agree 100%
I have a medical check up once a year with my GP & have been doing this for 30 odd years, however in Nov 2015 I missed my check up with my skin specialist (skin cancer), around September 2016 I had what I thought was a mossy bite on my face, I itched it and it became a sore over the next week. As I had a beard at the time I really couldn't see it at the time & didn't take enough notice of it.
This christmas just gone I had what I thought was a BCC show up on the very end of the stitch line of a previous cancer removal on my shoulder.
This made me think about the small sore on my face, off came the beard & oh shit! I couldn't believe the state of it. I made an appointment at the skin cancer clinic & ended up having 3 removed, 1 on face, 1 on shoulder & 1 very small BCC on my back. The BCC on my face took 15 stitches & the bad news is that I have to go back in 2 weeks to have it done again as a small amount was missed.

Circuit Assemblies in the "Good Old Days"
by BluesBrother injust been reminiscing about how c/a's have changed since we were young.
i remember when they started friday night in some rented hall , as well as the two weekend days.
saturday morning was a brief session then field ministry (which only a few performed ) and sunday sessions.. in the free time around the venue we just used to hang out socialising and eyeing up the girls.

My last CA was back in the early 90s at the South Auckland Assembly Hall in Papakura, I can't remember if food was catered for. When did they stop serving food?
As a child & growing up in Taranaki I remember fondly working in the food service.
I can recall CAs in many small towns such as Patea, Hawera, Stratford, Opunake, Waitara & at venues like The New Plymouth Girls High School, The Taranaki Rugby Union Stadium (Rugby Park Hall) & food service under the stands.
Wanganui War Memorial Hall, once I remember the NZ army were there at the same time, they were using the outside parade ground, for us lunch time entertainment LOL & there was also next door the Wanganui Museum, a place I always visited to kill time.
Fun times but so boring

I remember this movie, actually I only remember the part with the couple siting in the car & the 6 boys drinking/arguing while in the convertible.
I was only 7 in 1966. I do remember seeing it again sometime later, possibly in the 70s.
