  several weeks ago, a witness poster said that the rank and file at his cong were told by elders not to ask questions.

  i may have misunderstood what the poster was saying.

  has anyone on the forum heard anything like this?

  Several weeks ago, a Witness poster said that the rank and file at his cong were told by elders not to ask questions. I may have misunderstood what the poster was saying. Has anyone on the forum heard anything like this? The poster was not very specific. Is it not ok to ask questions in the kingdom halls during meetings?

  ok before i start i know my mum was um "special" and had some, well...... bizzare training ideas.. .

  i was one of 7 kids, dad didnt help much coz he was sick, so my mum was left to run the 'ship' and she did it with an iron fist.. .

  we were never late for a meeting we sat, parents and 2 kids in one row the other 5 in row in front.

  boy i gotta say, i just can't make up my damned mind.

  everytime i'm starting to feel better about the jw's, a brother or sister or the watchtower will say something just totally wacky.

  did anyone get that bit in the watchtower last week about no questions allowed what so ever!!

  Not being a jw, sometimes I don't always understand the posts I see on this forum.

  You said the Watchtower last week said, "No questions allowed." What was it talking about. Are they saying you cannot ask questions when you are in the KH during the meetings?

  JAPAN Bethel downsizes with layoffs!

  twenty+ year veteran japanese bethelites sent to the field as special pioneers.

  i don't have the exact number laid off.

  however, there are a total of 550+ members at the ebina branch, so if the trend reflects the same as in the u.s. and europe branches, then we can assume at least between 10% - 20%.. in order to counterbalance the need for a work force but without having to incur expenses by housing and feeding them, japan bethel is considering opening the door to "commuting bethelites".

  heard that many jw's in birmingham are leaving organization....looking elsewhere for spiritual homes.

  wonder what's happening.
