  The apostle Paul provides one reason

  why we can be convinced that God

  exists, even though we cannot see him [he found the God Particle, it blinded him, and now he's writing a paper on it].

  Regarding Jehovah, Paul wrote: “His invisible

  qualities are clearly seen from the

  world’s creation onward, because they

  are perceived by the things made, even

  his eternal power and Godship.” (Rom.

  1:20) How might you help someone who

  doubts the existence of God to see the

  truthfulness of Paul’s inspired words? [Mind control works, most of the time. That's what I'd use.]

  You could consider some of the following

  evidence from creation that reveals

  our Creator’s power and wisdom [because whatever is in creation proves that it was made by Jehovah as opposed to Zeus, Baal, etc.--he totally signed his name on every piece of DNA, we already cracked the genetic code here at Watchtower and so we know this for a fact, but if you ask for the research papers on it, you'll have a visit from three elders in your near future. So don't ask.].

  On the other hand, fundamentalists of Christendom [speaking of false doctrine,this is a great chance to whip our favorite whipping boy, Christendom]

  teach that the universe, including our earth

  and all life on it, is only a few thousand years old [not all that different from what we used to teach, actually, but you don't know that, because nothing written before this paragraph is still true or existent unless we say so].

  Those who teach this doctrine—known as creationism—

  may [some uncertainty there, since only we, Jehovah's people, can truly] have high regard for the Bible, but they

  contend that God created all things in six 24-hour

  days just a few thousand years ago. They reject credible

  scientific evidence that contradicts their view [as would we, but we're willing to adapt a little to keep you Internet-using bastards believing us]. As

  a result, the teaching of creationism actually discredits

  the Bible [unlike the genocide, rape, senseless murder and contradictions], making it appear unreasonable and inaccurate [because it definitely needs outside help to accomplish that].

  Individuals who promote such views might

  remind us of some in the first century who had a

  zeal for God “but not according to accurate knowledge [and thus useless and dooming them to destruction even if they believed everything else written in this magazine except on the issue of creationism].”

  (Rom. 10:2)

  How can we use God’s Word [the Watchtower]

  to overturn the “strongly entrenched” doctrines of

  evolution and creationism [so others may reach the happy medium of believing whatever the Watchtower says]?

  We can do

  so only if we personally work hard [or harder, you dogs!] to

  gain an accurate knowledge of what the [Watchtower]

  Bible teaches.

  One widespread false teaching that blinds people

  to the truth about God [loaded language, hey the only thing as evil as apostates] is the doctrine of evolution. [It's called a theory, not a doctrine. The Trinity is a doctrine. Evolution is a scientific theory. See, one is based on interpretation of an ancient book, and another is based on scientific research, independent evaluation, and experimentation. BIG difference.]

  This human reasoning [ad hominem attack on origin of the idea, if it's not from God it probably ain't true, maybe we should just stop using all human inventions and wait for Jehovah to give us an oven] contradicts the Bible [and more importantly, the Watchtower] and

  robs [like a thief, just like those apostates!] people of hope ["It was here I learned there can be no true despair without hope."]. In its basic form, the teaching

  of evolution asserts [apparently without proof] that all life came into existence

  spontaneously; it [and by "it", I mean "the author of this article] thus implies that human life has no

  purpose [because we can't have purpose unless someone we've never seen or talked to before tells us we have one].

  ...Okay, getting interesting, I like, I like!

  Creation Reveals the Living God

  par. 1:

  MANY say that they believe only in things that they

  can see with their eyes. How can we help such individuals

  to build faith in Jehovah? After all, the Bible

  says that “no man has seen God at any time [except Moses, who saw God's back for some reason and got all shiny-looking for awhile].”

  (John 1:18)

  An initial step is to identify

  teachings that obscure the truth about Jehovah [like who the faithful slave is, for example?]. Then

  we must skillfully use the [Watchtower] Bible to overturn any reasonings

  that are “raised up against the knowledge of

  [the Governing Body] God.”

  ...Hey, this could be fun, after all!

  I usually read the new issues when they're out, but...maybe I should pass. The convention is next week for me, and I think I'll have had enough frustration from that alone... Then again, why not? Let's see what food is being served up by the new and improved faithful and discreet slave...

  i finally got through all five seasons on netflix.

  this series really floundered toward the end...sometimes the plot devices made characters like sloan do some wacky things...hes evil, hes good, hes evil, hes good.

  I’m sure SD-7 will be commenting on this topic.

  It took me a couple of weeks, but here I am.

  Not unless Robert Orci or the other folks who wrote the episodes are ex-JWs. I was mildly curious about this show and then just got hooked on it, like, I'd just spend entire Sundays watching it on DVD, an endless marathon. Of course, I had a major crush on Jennifer Garner. I think the JW guilt made me throw out one of the Season 2 discs because of the scene of her in the red, then black lingerie...but probably not before it got many a slow motion replay, I suppose...

  Obviously I picked my user name with 'Alias' as inspiration, but...I sucked at double agent stuff and got compromised pretty easily, so I suppose the name is kind of outdated and irrelevant now...

  Have you seen Nikita with Maggie Q? That's been a fun show, reminds me of Alias, which of course has some common thread with La Femme Nikita.

  Yeah, I like that one, too...it had to grow on me a little, though. But it definitely reminds me of 'Alias' too.

  The fighting scenes were very unrealistic.

  Unlike everything else in the show, of course...

  Anyway, yeah, I agree that the show got really ridiculous around Season 4 and 5, but in Season 4 I didn't so much care since it introduced me to (or she probably was there in Season 3, but I forget, haven't watched it in awhile) the lovely Mia Maestro...

  

  ...and thus they could've been talking about anything and I wouldn't have noticed (until that bizarre season finale, at least...). Certainly Season 5 got really crazy, with Sydney going on missions while pregnant and all. Actually I kinda thought Season 2 was like the high point of the series--the way it ended was one of the most intense TV moments in my memory.

  Some really great performances in there--Lena Olin as Sydney's mom was awesome. Bradley Cooper as 'roommate stuck in the friend zone' was always memorable (he was awesome in 'Silver Linings Playbook', I might add). Carl Lumbly as Dixon--I mean, come on, he was the voice of Martian Manhunter in 'Justice League'. It lent itself to an infinite number of jokes, except he was such a serious character, I don't know, I could totally see him being like a veteran JW elder somewhere...

  dazed, that was a wonderful photo. Why I haven't bothered to Google Jennifer Garner in awhile is beyond me...I shall have to remedy that sometime.

  I think we could probably see similarities in a lot of great shows/movies/books to the JW experience. I guess it's a story that has repeated itself often through history, both fiction and non-fiction...

  Anyone busted on apostate site. JCs how are they handled.

  i'm just wondering has any body ever been busted on an apostate site because someone was able to identify them because of something they wrote.

  why i ask this question is because how would this be explained at a jc.

  because the person who reported it to the jc was reading something that they shouldn't of.

  I would guess that in such a scenario, the person ratting you out can simply claim not to believe a word of the apostate website and--perhaps--have noticed something odd about something you said to them, and accidentally stumbled across this website where you were engaging in apostate reasoning. As long as they're turning you in, the elders probably won't care that the stool pigeon(s) were on the site themselves so long as they answer the loyalty question in the affirmative. --sd-7
