JWs on campus
by Sarabethy init's my first time on this site though i am no stranger in the ex-jw community.
i come to you now asking for your assistance in what to present to the dean of students at my university.. why am i meeting with dean of students, you may ask?
because today, while innocently finishing an assignment in the school library, i happened to look out the window and see the jws with their stupid little cart.

Flashback: Samuel Herd/Ashland Avenue Chicago
by Phaedra inmust have been mid to late 1970s.. it was when they still published the speakers' names on the light-blue circuit assembly programs.. i was a child sitting in the audience at ashland avenue's circuit assembly venue.
i loved that place with it's own basement cafeteria and baptism pool with a big jesus getting baptized mural behind it.. samuel herd was giving the talk.
my child self could only remember my father pointing him out on the program.

Does the younger generation have our work ethic?

i've had enough of speaking in generalities during my time as a jw evangelizer.
while my own experience will offer up mere anecdotal examples at best, my contemporaries and i have found that kids today lack the earnestness and drive we older folks have had since youth: setting up a lemonade stand; doing yard work without power assist; mopping floors; running errands for a dime; cleaning parking lots, etc.

Organization Updates for POMOs?
by charonsdog ini've been physically out since early 2014. before that, i was mentally out for a long period of time.
now, having zero contact with family or former friends, plus living in a southeast asian country where it is possible to not ever see a jw.
since i have discovered this site, i'm learning lots of things about the organization that i wasn't aware of before.

where has the money gone from selling all the property in new york off
also if you go onto the watchtowers own site it will tell you that in 2012 they sold 20 branch offices around the world off

and in the past years they have stopped printing 100 of millions of watchtowers and awakes
if you have a look in thsi website it will tell you that they have sold the assembley hall in indianapolis off and have put a kingdom hall in bradford uk up for sale on a property website.
I think your area will be the last area to see any changes because that is where the GB are and they look after their bellys and also their pride
