why i think it is about the money is
They might be thinking that there is not as much need for magazines in print but why cant they do more online magazines, booklets etc. They are even cutting down on the amount of writers they need.
ok so this is a topic i've pondered and go back and forth on.. i can easily see a point where lawsuits cause massive deficits in the organization.
honestly i feel like we are seeing the tip of the iceberg in regards to lawsuits on child abuse.
to me it looks like the property sell offs are to be able to get ready for this.

dubstepped they could a mostly online cult for 1000s of years. All they would need to would be to keep selling kingdom halls off to pay for warwick there are loads of little cults like that around
we all know how much the watchtower abhors "higher education" and that apparently jehovah thinks it is a big waste of time.
at least that is their official stance.
it might come as a shock to you that this month they have started a campaign drive to actually recruit jws who have higher education, specifically those who have legal training.. with all the law suits against them for creating an environment that is friendly to paedophiles, it is thus no wonder that they are in need of solicitors, especially those who are sympathetic towards the cult.. talk about hypocrisy!.
This is why starrynight9 they are in money trouble right now. All the keen jws are in low paid jobs and not working many hours so that they can go to door to door,so they dont have a great deal of money .
when i was a full-on believing jw i had an obsessive fascination with mormonism.
i read, studied and watched their propaganda with strange interest as well as their apostate mormon books.
i have to say, they have a good scam going claiming that "the lord reintroduced tithing" in the modern age.

the thing that will really make the r&f take notice i think is when they start selling the 3,000 kingdom halls off.
Because ive had jws telling me that rather than printing magazines the watchtower is using the money to translate the web sites into other lanuages BUT when they start making more cuts and cuts that affect the jws on the ground ie selling kingdom halls off that must really help to wake people up

The watchtower has been collasping since 2012 when acording to their own website they sold 20 branch offices around the world and since then the cuts have been non stop.
people might ask where all the money is going,i would suggest that if you have a look at the number of branch offices that the watchtower still has about 30that are in 3rd world countries where people dont have as much money as we do in the west.and if each branch office is short of $250,000 per year or more of course then wether you have $1 billion or $2 billion it is using that money up.And even in the west if sombody is being a good jw then they are not working to bring money in so that they can give it to watchtower but they are spending many hours a month walking the streets or standing behind a cart
not only does the organization confiscate the hall the congregation owns.
but then the former congregants are told to continue to pay for utilities and they are still responsible for upkeep and maintenance.
so they still have to cut the grass etc.
It shows that even with all the cuts they have been making that if they have to do what fredo was talking about then the watchtower must be short of money
ever since i became an exjw activist... i have wondered, how many people can i hope to reach?.
what are the odds that my parents and loved ones will live out the remainder of their lives as jehovah´s witnesses?.
is there a way to calculate the odds that any jw will remain a jw for the rest of their lives?.
so this morning i'm walking to my office and there's the jws on their carts outside as usual.
and old sister, a brother in his 20s and an elder i instantly recognized from my jw days.
one of my best friends of about 20 years.. i genuinely just wanted to say hi as i havent seen him in 3 years.
Itook five of those magazines today from a cart and trashed them,if i can save just one person going through what you and others like you have gone through it will be worth it
i have just heard that the local needs item next week in the uk is to be about a new arrangement for donating online.
details will be in the september announcements letter due out on sept 3rd.
speculate at will!.
wow the watchtower must be crumbling if even after all cut backs they have made these past six years yhey have to start this
