  to my surprise he frequently directed me to bible commentaries, saying, "why don't you see what adam clarke says, or what cooke says," or, if the subject primarily related to the hebrew scriptures, "what the socino commentaries say.".

  p 24 He also claims that the Governing Body didn't supervise their research done in the Aid to Bible Understanding. So basicly again this conforms that really they setup this superficial commendation toward the Governing Body as this matter of our spiritual guidance and in reality it was just helpers (not even part of the anointed) in verious departments at Bethel that truely constructed the aids the supervision really was Adam from the writing department!

  And the funny part is either they have a lack of communication where they thought the Governing Body supervised it or they just wanted to make it seem that it was more directed by holy spirit... but how they represented it to the people was really a lie.

  It did go on to explain Nathan Knorr & Fred Franz did read some of the finished articles that Adams choose to present to them.

  If you notice as you read on it was by their research and study in "commentaries" and he says they were products of scholars of other religions. To his suprise he found the facts were written in the eighteenth century, worthwhile and very accurate and compared to their own publications which became out of date.

  Answers to reinstatement questions

  first of all, to anyone interested in reinstatement (in response to a couple of threads about the subject, and for anyone that wants to see their family again), there is no formal letter to write.

  rather, you will have to submit a request to the hounders that disfellowshipped you in the first place.

  chances are good that they will reject that appeal.. some time later, you will have to submit another request for a reinstatement hearing.

  Still learning myself and just now came to page 17 on Crisis of Conscience. Yes I feel we all start of Apologists for JW... I'm still going to strive to remain humble and not get all bitter and angry but as I found more information with valid sources it defiantly hurts.

  Have you been practicing the new Songs?

  the other day, i finally got to hear one of the new "kingdom songs" .

  it was hillarious when first, no one knew the song and mumbled their way through it, and then second, when the speaker reminded the congregation that they have been encouraged to practice learning the new songs at home!

  Hahaha that's funny! I can only image the congregation trying to sing!! I remember at my old hall there was a lady there that thought she could sing and sang at the top of her lungs... It was so hilarious but I would never had tried to make her feel embarrassed about it because everyone else just mubbled the song like that. But I would get kinda embarrassed for my hall when new ones in my hall arrived. I just keep thinking in my head please don't confront the loud lady about her singing.... sigh I would feel bad for her if people would or have. She tried! lol

  Do the Differences Between Spiritual Beliefs Really Matter?

  one of the themes i think about every now and again is that of the nature of belief, the purpose of religion, and the presense of truth.. specifically, do the differences between spiritual beliefs really matter?

  meaning that, if every religion is just an amalgamation of different combinations of mysticisms, does it really matter if we are protestants, catholics, quakers, mormons, muslims, pagans, jews, or even jehovah's witnesses?

  further, does it really matter whether we believe in god or not?

  I know that God and Jesus will judge us based not on what we believe but WHY we believe.

  "Your Erroneous Zones" by Wayne Dyer was suggested by my Aunt and Cousin who are no longer JWs. They said it isn't specifically about religion, but it is about how people can become immobilized from moving forward.

  I agree with palmtree and yes you make sense... I don't really think it matters either.
