Jehovah Witnesses are NOT a bad Cult but man made type spiritual guide

when i was a jehovah's witness i remember these debates being mentioned about the raps of innocent children that elders commented, the blacks and whites segregation, the crosses and christmas tree in the bethal, etc.

jehovah's witnesses have always been harassed for these things.

with the changing world and knowledge of the scriptures they work hard to try to work towards accurateness.

With the changing world and knowledge of the scriptures they work hard to try to work towards accurateness. I commend them for that. They are ONLY human and have done greater good then bad. I say this because I witness individual people, witnesses, who devote their whole lives in helping others and caring for a person deep down, not thinking this is what the Jehovah's Witness society said cause they are my leader but because they felt good come from it. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_would_you_define_a_cult (when i looked up what a cult was I came across this) cult-a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies; a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader. For example the US Government, many of US citizens would say that this is the best country to live in but it has errored too. There are many doctors that are licensed and have errored. As well as many professions that are trained to do their job but because we are human have errored.

To put this in a logical sense we need something to give use mental nourishment, physiological guidance, to inspire, build up, and motivate.

The Jehovah's Witnesses have changed allot sense 1970's. It has because people change and have to consider every aspect of life. Dealing with a vast body of people and hearing complaints and pleads they have considered their rights and respects of a human being thus having to humble themselves as well. My fiance has been raised in Church of God one thing he notes is how they speak out or peach in humbleness is by always say this is our interpretation of the scriptures. So I also assume with many nondenominational religions they have this in like mind.

One thing I do want to reveal is they always reference to the Bible and as a body work hard to work in harmony with what the Scriptures say. "Jehovah reveals all things at appointed time" "Jehovah uses imperfect men" "They will reap what they sow". The Governing body and all of their members know the scriptures and know God judges their hearts. Until then Jehovah will give us strength. He doesn't give us what we can't handle. Man has an amazing ability to live throw the hard times and cope with the bad.

I also consider Moses that lead Israel. He made his mistakes. As many Prophets in the Bible did. We do have our perceptive powers and power of reasoning. God gave us that.

I feel like the ninja that left his master... (a movie I watched an forget the name too) lol I was trained by the 'cult' (still seems a bet disrespectful to use this term) but left the 'cult' for a greater good. God said their would be wolves in sheep clothing among the sheep... don't disregard all the sheep as a whole, only the wolves in it. I can't deny though I am thankful for the Jehovah's Witness to draw me closer to the Bible and have good and positive wisdom to face challenges with a mild and loving heart.

I just hope the light will get brighter (turn on... haha) for them when it comes to deciding the case of wrongdoers giving them stepping stones for them to reach success. It's easy to push someone off the edge but to reel them back up takes effort. I climbed my way up maybe on a different mountain away from my family but at least I'm safe and happy. I again want to think those on this JWN board for the Scriptures they have helped pull me up.

My lesson I have learned on here is not to believe every inspired word (raising the JW so highly). Take their reasoning as another way of thinking. Keep your mind and heart balanced when deciding what is right and what is wrong. Keep God's word strong and have an open mind by continue questioning and have full understanding.

On behalf of Jehovah's Witness... I guess for them 'it's better to error in good then in bad.' (with the mind set of their good intentions)

This was on the back of the book, The Moral Life second edition by Steven Luper and Curtis Brown, that my fiance who is nonjw and free from all religion gave me to look at. He said he had to study it for college but that it gave very interesting information on how to live a moral life free from religious bios. So I excepted and now have homework. I will try and keep tabs on what I been learning. But seriously I hate reading long dry stuff so we will see.

I also have other stuff that some ppl on the board has suggested (some by Ray Franz, Kyria Abrahams, etc.) I do intead to get the bookstores and find them. It's all exciting and I think will give me an awakinging veiw.

I partied with other DF ppl and drank alot. had fun and tried to get back with my ex who was df and said "I'm a bad person get back in with your family". found out it was him just wanting to be free and sleep with others. So I went crazy and just gave up trying worrying and lived in la la land. but reality hit every time I was sober so I needed to face my demons... and reevaluate myself.

Then I got DF again and this time never been back to a meeting and prob never will if I don't find a means to go back. I have my mom and my sister and my true friend what more do I need. I have a loving fiance and we are getting our first house, two story, beautiful... ready to make a family in.

I moved on for the most part. But still understand as humans we need physical, mental, spiritual or inspirational nourishment.

of course, this ignores the fact that their teaching is that they were appointed over jesus earthly belongings in 1919. but, lets roll with it...the witnesses have the truth because they do not:.

My grandpa was my inspiration he told me we would be in paradise earth and live happily ever after! That is what still holds strong in my heart. He was inpressed when he studied with the JW of the dedication of researching the scriptures and finding out he wasn't going to die in hell! He had faith and I have faith because of him. This unique gift God gave us of faith and having hope for the future was lead by the inspiration by God and translation of the Scriptures our for fathers, men that stood before our time has given us.

Back Again about Disfellowshipment.... Please Help!!

ok so i'm doing alot better by going on this website and message board... everyone is so incouraging and wise!

if someone can pick at this and help me deal with being disfellowshiped please do so.... i know alot of you are going to be like duh will don't go to jw website or stay away from it.

WTWizard, the Bible has been my best guide and I know when I do right acording to the Bible I feel much better. You are like my fiance in a way that you have confidance in yourself the you feel you don't need the Bible. That's wonderful and I admire that but for ppl like me, we need the Bible to get through life. It's a goal, I set for myself (or should I say obligated with when I was born and raised) I want to live forever on paradise earth and live in peace with what I deal with now.

“I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.” (Jeremiah 10:23) The ancient wise man Solomon recognized the danger of setting up personal standards for life independent of divine guidance. He wrote: “There exists a way that is upright before a man, but the ways of death are the end of it afterward.”—(Proverbs 14:12)

I think when it comes down to it they are imperfect humans but that's all God can work with right??

So who holds the power to direct his servants if it isn't through "God's Organization"?

Continuing on with my other Topic I made on this board I continue a new decision "Who is your Spiritual Guide?"

After leaving the organization, I seem to find myself stuck. Is there a good lead then if not the organization? I want to make my own mind on personal consciences matters but I want the foundation and standards of the Bible guided by a group of ones (who are truly chosen like Jesus and the other prophets) encouraging for the hope of the future, ready to speak the truth, and apply all Scriptures of the Bible.

“There will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories.”—2 Timothy 4:3, 4.

JESUS made it clear that some forms of worship are not acceptable to God. He spoke of “false prophets,” comparing them to a tree that produces worthless fruit and “gets cut down and thrown into the fire.” He also said: “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens.”—Matthew 7:15-22.

God did not recognize acts of worship performed by hypocrites. He was not interested in their rituals and prayers. He told Israel: “Your festal seasons my soul has hated. To me they have become a burden; I have become tired of bearing them. And when you spread out your palms, I hide my eyes from you. Even though you make many prayers, I am not listening.”—Isaiah 1:14, 15.

So I guess I'm asking those who have exclaimed their peace, joy, freedom, etc. after Disfellowshipment or leaving Jehovah's Witnesses Organization. Where do you turn and after knowing what you been taught what holds your way of learning a good or ok method. After reviewing my past Topics I do have an Idea but this page I will just summarize it in more of an orderly fashion.
