Well said diamondiiz... I just needed to hear it in that way I guess... It's coming together. I know it will take time. It just all kinda hurts right now.

It's kinda scary. I think about actually my past and... it's a blur but my mom told me things I didn't want to hear.

Reporting of sexual abuse

Some victims of sexual abuse have asserted that when reporting abuse they were ordered to maintain silence to avoid embarrassment to both the accused and the organization. [ 145 ] [ 146 ]

If crazy perverts knew about this... geez what organization do you think they would turn to?! OMG I would be scared for the Witnesses who feel safe and secure in the Organization... such as what I was. It just makes things a little more clearer why my mom kinda shide away from going to the meetings as much. They labeled her as spiritually weak. She just had an awful husband who abused her child and what did the elders say... he repented and is going to all the meetings. ... Still thinking...

Parakeet Would they have allowed blood if YOUR life had been on the line? I've known some otherwise decent dubs, but many of their decisions can and have ruined lives.

The blood ban, disfellowshipping, shunning -- these are not the acts of good, innocent people.

The WTS is certainly guilty, but when adults CHOOSE to give up their responsibility to think for themselves and allow the WTS to tell them what to think, they are just as guilty.

I'm not saying it was right... but then I did! When you are spiritually strong thinking your doing Gods will you do anything for him...Your not thinking about hurting others, your not thinking about what's behind it all, just that you are doing Gods will, and having faith that you will be going to paradise that was promised!!

TD I feel like your on to something but are you saying JW can't compare the past with today? I'm sorta confused... (JW believe in applying all the scriptures in todays problems)...

When you draw a comparison between King David, Manaasah, etc. you are presupposing that the same basis for overlooking the excessively bad conduct of past organizations still exists today when in fact it does not. Jesus clearly indicated at Matthew 24 and Luke 12 that the slave would be rewarded or punished based upon conduct and conduct alone.

The JW organization has willingly and voluntarily applied that parable to themselves. Therefore neither you nor they have much basis for appealing to past hereditary systems in defense of today's bad conduct.

Hey Flipper it was nice talking to you too!!

I totally agree with you. I just have a hard time seeing it as an evil vicious cult. I mean I could hold many things over elders, societies head, but because I love God and want to show respect to those who are victoms, like as a JW giving respect to the other churches.

I still haven't read the books yet. And thanks for the books you suggested!

To the JWN Board: People all the time ask why I would ever want to talk to my father (he did awful things to my mom and me). I tell them cause his my father and I love him. My mom suffered allot by the judgment of what the elders told her how to handle things, my grandma suffers when she sees other elders not show their love and conserns like my grandpa did, grandpa died not taking blood when faced with a serious blood disease Amyloidosis, my grandma and my mother both suffer because they can't talk to their daughter... Grandma compares herself to Job in the Bible. They suffer cause we live in an imperfect world but they have faith and hope for the future. They are obedient for what they feel is the greater good. They give up their lives and they have love for others. I say this types of people are not evil but loving, it's just sad. They have to suffer...

What I am saying the Organization have errored big. The witnesses as a body of people that are innocent... I can say this cause I was one of them. You said it your self the innocent childern and women... my grandpa was a good man, and so was my old best friend's father. The Organization will reap what they sow. Like this Kings they have sinned... so until then their time will come when God reveals them. And I hope it's soon...

Well I think of how the Bible is inspired by God. Thus the scriptures were written by man inspired by God. Written by man... what was their motive? What is the GB motive? They were inspired by God following the only thing closest to what they know is the TRUTH about God and they keep critiqueing their interruptation. They strive for the Truth just as anyone else.

How do we know that the ppl writing the Bible were just as well making these claims. Just like every other religion makes there claims.

But just as in Caesars day they were religions that merged together and became more exceptable of what was considered wrong before. I think that Jehovah Witnesses are on a fine line. This centary is changing and as we see many are falling from religion. We will see what holds true at the end.

Until then I can see more clearer with Jehovah's help and my prayers are answered in a way.

Poppers, it's a long trail of a month of being on this site and looking at others... starting from my first post...

Elders words I will never forget and have a hard time agreeing with...

I can't see how someone can say they want to help you and then turn their back on you.

Their suggestions were:

"Go to a councilor, you will get depressed and I suggest a councilor" after telling me I have been disfellowshiped (the first time).

"We need to protect the congregation" but what about the sheep that wondered off and needs incouragement while I was in. This statement was made when I get disfellowshipped (the second time).

Oh and as I and my elders are standing outside the meeting waiting on the second dicision by the second group of elders... one tells me "I'm sorry we did all we could to help you ... this is all we can do for you" (geez it felt like they were giving up on me)

Honestly I feel the Elders don't want me back. I would love to but how can I. I spent over a year going to all the meetings and three letters the first time getting back in how long will it be the second.

I don't agree with disfellowshipment as a way to help turn a person but push them to suicide or self abuse or rage. I seen it and it's sad.

I don't understand why it was so wrong to have wonderful and good people as friends out side of being a JW. (Still after JW statements on association.) My fiance who is not in any religion is the only one who brought me out of my self misery. (I meet less then a year) That's sad someone who bearly knows me loves and cares for me and Elders and JW Friends who judge and are held back after a life time of being so close.

Elders are not be hide close doors how do they have the right to judge accurately. I know judging is good to a point. I don't hang out with drug addictics or murders or abusers. But after I was disfellowshiped they ask you if you are associating with anyone.

I can't live as a hermit!!

I just think there has to be a better way of going about wrong doers that asked for forgiveness, repented and remorsed over their wrong doing... and above all want and need true guidence by God.

Thanks for you guys input and suggestions. I will read each one carefully and take time in understand the best motive with the Bible and Prayer.

Good point... I been poking at my 'wise' grandma (with claims of getting back in, but not lieing i have called the elders to talk bout coming back), but bringing up things i found on here slow and with hopefully a good out comes. I will see what she has to say on that.

Wish I there was a group called "NOT spiritually WEAK but spiritually (Liberal)" lol. Not narrow thinking but accurate thinking. JW / Rehabilitation helping to good and motivation those broken in spirit. A new type of evangelize! (I guess that's all wishful thinking for now but I wish)
