on jan 21 and 22, 2011 a nation wide protest is being organized to alert people on the discrimination that is blatantly taking place in the watchtower organization.

the public needs to know about the disfellowshipping and subsequent shunning that is going on in the jehovah's witness cult.

this flagrantly heinous,wicked practice must be stopped.

What ATTRACTS people!! What groups are known for good actions... Community Volenteers, Support Groups, Church Volenteers etc.... This is what people are ATTRACTED too!! I say if I found a group like this SPEAKING OUT it would be a great benefit to helping the mistreatment of disfellowshipped, shunned, abused, etc.

I remember group members or support speakers coming to our schools, coming even to our work places, coming to special events... motivating me in wonting me to support what they were protesting about... spouse abuse, drug abuse, child abuse, etc.

If it got me thinking just imagine how others would feel.... Relating it to gang leaders, cult leaders, spouse over powerment.... we could help the whole community... not just Jehovah's Witnesses but other religious control or whatever.

I think someone needs to get ahold of Steve Hassen, Barbara Anderson, Randell Watters, other good speakers... a whole group of those people I came accross through my research on the internet, to give these speaches too. I loved hearing them on the interent, in person that would be a wower.

Just my ideas on things.... who's that motivated (not really that type of person to jump up for the oppertunity)... but whoever Nikki is and others like this person.. I will fully support. Come around Indianapolis with a group and I would totally be there fully supporting!!

I agree with Undercover too!!

Remember when we were once Jehovah's Witnesses!! This is persecution in their eyes!! We are the enemy and they are sadden because they sacrifice so much to be so good and loving... shunning is not a choice to them! It is law in their eyes... that GOD commanded them to do... like Abraham sacrificing his son... They aren't killing people just displaying loyalty and supporting discipline for wrong doing.

The educational part is so so important right now!! Not showing hate toward them but showing consern... Supporting members of the churches who suffer... family members etc... In effect we can ask and compare leaders... like who is behide all of this? God... but God is loving kind... what motivated people to follow Hitler, to follow any Cult leader that claim to have God's backing.... Just get them thinking...

We need to show and act not as "apostates" but "helpers" "God's angels" as it were... Jehovah's witnesses are attracted to kind hearted spiritual people... I should no I only hung out with other church goers at school... even if I thought they didn't have the "truth" they were good people and I surrounded myself around people like them.

I agree with Coffee_black... not to into protesting.

But the message I get and fully support, because I'm dfed and seen my dfed friends suffer worse then me even... I think getting groups together holding events around different areas and giving motivational speaches do better... Then also seeing people passing out buttons or braceletts even shirts that people want to support or volinteer too... passing out brocures to educate... and advertise... is the best way of getting the message out there!!! Not looking like crazies but looking like conserned citizies for our community!! Even getting the news people involved helps. :) Attracting young, old, parents, mothers, teens, grandparents... all important.

Wow ... I wonder if that's why my Japanese grandma and her husband my military grandpa was so strict with my dad... thus my dad was strict with his kids...

Western thinking... basicly us or me... well I agree we are lacks in discipline thus resulting in laziness or not rising to full potential.

I have a soft heart like my mother. My sister is a tough cookie and I think discipline and Chinese mothering would have done her good... she would be a genious and probably even achieve the world. As for me I probably would have commeted suiside... lol I don't do to good with pressure.

I'm due to have a baby March 3rd and it's my first... I hope to balance my mom's way and my dad's way of raising kids...

What would you hate about the Paradise...

well i was thinking... kinda random stuff this morning.

there was on the news of volcano eruption in brussel and it was so cool looking.

no injuries were found but i got to see the lava and thinking how beautiful it was.

Well I was thinking... Kinda random stuff this morning. There was on the news of volcano eruption in Brussel and it was so cool looking. No injuries were found but I got to see the lava and thinking how beautiful it was. How actually all worlds distructive events are truly remarkable. Like tornatos... I think of the movie Twister where they were strapped down whirling around inside the tornato. That was amazing and I weirdly enough wanted to do that! ha This is just a few examples...

I also think of the amazing people who were in my life that weren't to moral and maybe even evil... How if they weren't or never been in my life how boring and simple life would be without them. Not saying I wanted to be them but just observe them. ha

Then what about shedding a tear now an then how it's like a release... I would hate to cry all the time because of the embarressment... but the emotion of sadness makes us appressiate the happiness. As well with a little bet of anger and violence... it's a release... to punch a punching bag or to do kick boxing... man the adrenaline of it. Not really injuring anyone but the feeling of it just a little bet at that moment for that short period of time can be such a release.

Am I weird... lol Well I guess this invites crazy comments... What would you hate about the Paradise?

Sticky Situation - What to do?

i have posted about my experience with the cult....so now i find myself in a difficult position.

i have left it alone for many years but i wonder what you guys think.. i faded away from the cult and stopped going for quite a while.

my older sister took it upon herself to meet with my family and discuss all my sins and actions (they were active).

Mad Sweeney and WingCommander! Seriously that might back fire! Even if they are out, mentally they are not! My mom hasn't been to a meeting over a year and still she has this thing in her mind that JW are the only true organization God put here on earth for us! She won't look at anything I give her and she gets upset when I say negitive things about the JWs... even if it is the truth.

For alot of my friends that are DFed... they still mentally are in the organization mindset. My friend who got dfed twice still goes to meetings and claims she will be good later and get back in, my exBF who just got married and was DFed for two years just got back in and shuns every one of us nonJWs... That's just to name a few examples. They still aren't out unless they see the truth for themselves.

Yelp I would confront your sister that's what I did with mine. But in my sister's situation was she wasn't baptised and did all the bad things I did (I wasn't to good of example anyways so I am no innocent person) but she never got punished and I of course was DFed. I see her with her boyfriend, they get married, and she wants to get baptised so she shuns me. I feel hurt, I keep her little secret then what do I get for my loyalty to my sister, shunned and she is now all holyer then thou. I confront her... It took a while for it to absorb in her brain I think but then I hear from mom that she confessed everything to the elders and her husband. Her husband thought she was a vergin. He left her for two weeks upset but forgave her. They held off baptism for a year. So I guess all is well. I never want her to experiance DFment but I did want her to see how unfair it was for her sins to be unpunished (even if it was just through guilt... guilt I feel is good punishment to ones self).

She still shuns me but I feel ok with her actions because she feels she is doing it for the good of God... as long as she doesn't be a hypercrite I respect her choices. I feel she is better off with this new spiritual lifestyle then the bad she was living... But I would feel even more happier if she learned what I learned, she could then be her normal self and still a good person she has inside her, but that will probably never happen.

Father Severely Abused Me

Wow that is defiantly before my time (I'm born in 1985), to think that all happened just seem so crazy... what went on at that time. But as far as your personal abuse I can truely simpathize. I too was a victim of my dad's abuse... as well as my mother being a victim, who still holds on to the hurt to this day! She speaks out freely about the abuse but it's so embarressing to me... she tells everyone... but I guess she will never get over it completely. I just wish she can let go ... let go of the religion that abused her as well. I see it but she always makes excuses for them and then says when the end comes God will take care of things, for now we just have to be thankful we have a guidance/organization that God gave us, it the closest to perfection we are going to get. (I think man why why, if only I could gave her more confidance in God alone not in these organization)

Got a letter inviting me to my Judicial hearing- should I go?

hey everyone, my family and i have not gone to meeting in over a year.

rumors have swirled about us, but i have always dodged the elders calls and never said anything about my feelings.

so after a while the calls/visits dwindled, but in october they came by again and saw our halloween decorations.

Nope I wouldn't go through the trouble if you don't plan on going back... your caught... and especially if your family don't talk to you anyways. I think it would be kinda different if they did though, I would have a hard time answering that one sence I would love to have been in you secretive shoes before you were caught. I wanted to get in to just fade out really and blame the holiday stuff on my nonJW husband.

If you do go to the Judicial hearing ... expect them to check up on you more or some how (even though gossip isn't allowed) other JW come and visit you and your family to see how you are (ha really to see if you are living worldly).

That's my opinion anyways.
