Memorial Day.... still struggling with the idea of war and support

so i do respect and am very greatful for the sacrifies those who dedicated their family, lives, etc.

to defend our freedom, lives, and land, but if we lived in a world where we lived as monks or jehovah's witnesses (basicly just the practise of no war).... would that be wrong?.

what's a good lesson or level of reasoning when supporting the idea of war?.

Thank you everyone for your posts!! Wish I could answer each one of you! My thoughts are still meant for peace but I guess that's why there are verify of ppl to handle these kind of things.

I just hate war. I hate violance. I think that if we all practice peace and not promote war any more but yet the rememberance of the lives that did suffer for us.... wouldn't the world be a better place.

Maybe when we put down our swords others will follow? That sound crazy with the world we live in... but seriously where did Jesus show that going to war was ok?

go visit a cemetary today and leave some flowers, watch a war movie today.. peace.

Aww LisaRose your granddaughter Lain is adorable!! I love blond hair blue eyes!! My husband had really blond hair and blue eyes when he was that age and I'm crossing my fingers alexis will too.

Mouthy you are so awesome to be on here. I love your posts no matter what! It your honesty and your ways that I love about you!! In a way you kinda replace the grandma that has shunned me... I miss her so much even when she can be a bit blunt about things. Hehe I just say Oh grandma... (sigh and roll my eyes with a smile) ok ok your right... She puts me in my place for sure. I wish she got to see her grandkids (she shuns me and there for my children have to suffer)... well at least you get to enjoy them for them. They're not apostate children... no labels... But when looked upon I want everyone to smile and see them for who they are... Precious.
