  This major doctrine, so idiosyncratic to the JWs, results from an eisegesis methodology which imposes a conceptual frame onto a text rather than discovering from the context what concepts are expressed therein. A little reflection can show how eisegesis is the usual approach taken by the WTS in interpreting Revelation.

  Hmmm, sounds like an intellectual way of saying, "Rutherford made the sh#t up to account for the number of his flock exceeding 144,000 and imposed that on the text rather than reading the text in context."

  The brother giving the talk said that out of 19 million who attended last year, only less that 9000 partook. I thought that number was over 10,000 now.

  Going...

  I wonder too if they will caution against partaking in case someone in the audience is contemplating it. I had a dream about that where I was outraged and spoke out in the hall, pissing off my wife.

  Telling people that they cannot partake? Kind of crossed the line with me.

  Augh, copy and paste. If I wanted to read the something from the WT, I would've just looked at the books and mags my wife has. Why do I have to see that here?

  I find that I never get more than a bunch of Watchtower double speak and slight of hand when I ask pointed questions to witnesses (including my wife when she is in cult mode). I've learned that people just want their religion and their associations. To hell with facts.
