it's nearly 2 months now but mrs punk finally left myself (mentally diseased apostate tm) with my 2 non kingdum hell attending boys.. she left when my jw daughter moved out and they moved in together.

i don't think it'll be long before my daughter gets sick of her mum but there you go!!.

i received a call from mrs punk to say: 'i didn't leave you because of the religion!'.

So the Governing Body alone is now the Faithful and Discreet Slave?

i'm just catching up on the latest buzz here and it appears that there is a lot of buzz on the 'new light' coming from the watchtower concerning the governing body and the faithful and discreet slave.

if true, i can really use this to trick my wife and in-laws (who are coming in this weekend) to contradict the new light.. at first i was going to say that this can answer moshe's question regarding who really is the fds but i understand that the change simply means when the body meets on doctrinal matters is when they are collectively the fds.

is that correct?.

jehovah's witnesses top the list in not being able to hold on to their younger members.

so what do they do to combat this?

do they go out of their way to change things to keep the next generation, their only real hope of long run survival?

Yeah, I remember reading this article in the Watchtower thinking 'WTF?!' I really did not know how to respond to this to my wife so I said nothing.

I wonder if my wife even paid attention during this study? I will never know but I sure am glad she is willing to sign our kids up for gymnastics, soccer, swimming, and even karate. I figured I just keep quite about the cult BS and allow my wife to continue doing these things for our kids and I doubt they will ever take this religion seriously when they are older.

Wow this is too funny and too typical of the witnesses I encountered (including my wife). Live like the world and downplay the religious rules (except the ones you want to follow). If she one day decides to go running back to the cult after settling down, I feel sorry for the poor fellow who winds up marrying her.
