not only are we to watch our associations outside of the congregation, but also watch our associations 'within' the congregation.

this was emphasised by the wt study conductor.

'Watch Your Associates in These Last Days'. I loved the end paragraph. Having completely made us all feeling paranoid as to who we associate with both in and outside the Cong, paragraph 19 says. 'As worshippers of Jehovah, we need to imitate Noah................ keep separate from the wicked system.........and seek upbuliding associates among the millions of our faithful brothers and sisters................And just think of our wonderful prospects! If we watch our associations in these last days, we MAY PERSONALLY live right through the end of this evil system and into Jehovah's righteous new world now so near at hand' Still scratching my head!

Boy oh boy did I feel paranoid at today's WT. Not only are we to watch our associations outside of the Congregation, but also watch our associations 'within' the Congregation. This was emphasised by the WT study conductor. It was as if he was saying just watch everyone brothers. BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry folks, I forgot to give my honest rate. I would honestly say 4. boring. The reason for this is because the meetings tend to be full of boring speakers and the talks are repetitive, dogmatic and uninspiring in mho! Each congregation needs a Jimmy Swaggart to shake things up a bit :-)

Any funny stories of when a"brother" giving a talk, said something "funny" or "questionable", and didn't even realize it?

there were always all types of speakers in the org.

myself, growing up a "witness", must have heard all types of talks, and given by all manner of speakers, especially on sundays, when almost every week we would get a "visiting" brother giving the public talk.. sometimes, you would have a "great" speaker, all fluent and animated.

other times we would get a comical speaker, one who would maybe purposelly get a few laughs outta the audience.

You probably all had the talk on immorality, but we had one of our nice but robotic elders tell us in chapter and verse what immorality is. My young daughter is sitting next to me....this dude then says immorality includes fornication, sex between a man and woman outside of marriage, sex between a man and a man, sex between a woman and a woman, oral and a al sex, masturbation, bestiality, uncleanness which includes viewing pornography, where there is access to incest and rape pornography' He went on to list several others. I said to my Mrs after, that it was a little ott. She agreed that there was no need to go into such detail. Unbelievable! I wouldn't say anything like that to my daughter at home.....not for her ears. What a douche
