Why Do You No Longer Believe in God?

i know this question has popped up from time to time but i really would like to know how you guys, those that no longer believe, came to that conclusion?

was it the wts and all its crap?

was it something you read?

Hi Tenacious, Bro Perimeno helped me when I just about gave up the ghost as it were. After a long fade I tried to return only to be met with uncaring shepherds. His advice was to move to a loving hall. I did and it was like night and day.

Paranoia after today's Watchtower

boy oh boy did i feel paranoid at today's wt.

not only are we to watch our associations outside of the congregation, but also watch our associations 'within' the congregation.

this was emphasised by the wt study conductor.

It's funny how easily we can be manipulated. As we were going through the WT, I was thinking/focusing on the ones who would be viewed as weak or, the ones who may have said something in the past that sounded slightly out. I also felt uncomfortable knowing full well how some view me personally. Also vice versa how I see them knowing full well how easily such ones would coldly cut you off in the blink of an eye if it came to it. The writers of that WT study did not write a balanced view of bad associtions. They continue to fan the flames of paranoia all round. For me, it was really uncomfortable reading...period! as the Americans say.

My First Birthday.....

i awoken today and realised immidiately i'm 44 today... and after 3 years of being out, decided to acknowledge my birthday.... i'm off out to treat myself to a big hearty breakfast with cup of tea in the local weatherspoon's by the massive pond full of weird bird-life, later today i'm giving myself a gift of a 90 minute relaxation session in a float tank down by canary wharf in london.... only really have 2 close friends (it's a slow process trusting people agian) and they probably won't be able to see me today, but i'm sure i'll have a belated surprise from them both.... the first thing i did when i remembered was to rush to the computer, connect to the web and put on stevie wonder's 'happy birthday', as i listen to it, tears stream down my face... all those years of my life stolen ' but..... i'm free....'.

Thanks for posts everyone. You can tell my frustration. V.I, We have a lot of relatives who are 'in'. We also have many friends, particularly my wife. She is very poular. My daughter has a social network both within and at school. My wife and I have always been as balanced as we possibly can with her as she is a little sweet heart. I have told her to enjoy her school years. If she wishes to do extra curricular activities, she has our blessing. We give her as much liberty as possible. We even celebrate her birthday each year quietly. (note: it looks like many do this anyway given the recent branch rules that were leaked in which they appear to turn a blind eye when it comes to birthdays, so long as you don't promote it) How on earth is anyone in their right mind supposed to forget the special day their child was born! I recently tried the head on approach with my wife whilst reading in bed. She asked what I was reading. I said I had downloaded crises of conscience and explained what it was about. She went nuts saying how is she supposed to respect me as spiritual head of the household when I am reading apostate literature etc. I tried to say it was just a book and was interested in reading the man's experience. I then switched of my tablet and changed the subject. She is a liberal JW, but has a line she will never cross. She knows I have apostate/ questionable views about WT teachings etc. That's where things lie. And that's how it is for thousands of us earthwide. Having watched that shady Australia branch lawyer (I think his surname was Toole), I see clearly what Ray Franz meant when he referred to the WT leadership as an 'Iron fist in a velvet glove'. Hopefully, there are some within the leadership who are not all 'Tooles'!!!!! listen to the voice of reason, and concientiously use their influence to make the necessary changes. They have to! otherwise they will continue to face ongoing criticism from every angle, which is already having an effect on the organisation.

DATA-DOG. I agree with you.....but as someone who has to watch his own daughter grow up in this religion, I am clutching at straws. It breaks my heart to know she is being slowly indoctrinated into WT beliefs. Yes I could pull the plug and try to stop my wife and daughter attending.....but as you know, that simply can't be done as would turn their world upside down. Hence the long shot....aim at the root of the problem.....the men with power and influence. The ones who can bring an end to all erroroneus teachings and policies.

Brothers please realise that genuine individuals believe every word you say. Please look into your hearts and bring an end to what you know is wrong. Look at Jesus example. Show mercy, show compassion, show kindness. Empathise with those who have been affected by abuse in all its forms. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR WAYS. PLEASE CHANGE BROTHERS. Let us be viewed as a Christian organisation and not as cult or high control religion. Brothers please lift your finger and make the necessary changes. Yes it will be a big transition, but most definitely for the better.. This is a very honest and genuine plea to you.. TE

It's crazy to think I once viewed Jehovah's witnesses as the most spiritual faith group I ever had the pleasure of being involved with. Now I view them as nothing more than an Orwellian type organisation controlling genuine individuals who truly want to be Christian. Genuine people who truly love God, but misled by a group of men who themselves have been misled into believing that such control is absolutely necessary. I feel sorry for the younger generation having to go through adolescence and having to go through such undue influence!!!!

Geoffrey Jackson's Golden Apple watch INVESTIGATED

i went through the original footage to get a good look at the watch.. from these pictures we can probably say that it is a apple watch and that it has a golden color.

the color on the pin is black, and the band is white, grey, silvery or beige.. .

the pin is in the exact place for it to be a apple watch.. only apple watch edition have the gold color.
