What the Org Teaches #5 "God's" Law on Shunning is Flexible For Elders!

parents are forced by the org to regard their disfellowshipped children as if they were dead, non-existent - even if their child was in dire straits.

's feel when they hear that it's ok for elders to try and encourage disfellowshipped ones back to the org, but they can't?.

Hey PE. Though I know this letter must have been painful to write. But who knows where it could lead. Perhaps this will wake your mother up. Sadly after that despicable video at the convention, your mother will likely still stick to her guns re shunning, but at least you have shown her just what it feels like to receive such a letter. As someone who has worked with people who have been suicidal, particularly young people, it is a definate cry for help IMHO.

My brother died last night

i found out this morning that my brother died last night, he was also an ex jw, 73 years old and died of heart disease and kidney failure.

it was not totally unexpected, as he had been in poor health, but it's a blow, especially as i just lost another brother two years ago.

there were six of us, now only four.
