Midweek meeting video

did anybody see the service meeting video this week?.

australian sister was sexually abused as a child and thought of ending her life at 14 years old, sometime later jw's call on her father who accepts a study and eventually the whole family becomes witnesses, life gets much better as the sister immerses herself in pioneering etc, she still has some dark days but prayer along with going for walks and swimming has helped her cope with bad memories of child abuse, the new system (just around the corner) will completely fix everything......... i'm dumbfounded, the hypocrisy has literally rendered me speechless......comments anybody?.

I must admit, I was gob smacked when I saw this video as took me by surprise. Admittedly, I felt sorry for the woman in the video and could see the genuine pain she has suffered from years of abuse. My heart goes out to her as an individual and genuinely hope she can move on with her life, as indeed others who have also suffered abuse.

But it is the fact that the organisation have in the past gone on camera denying that they don't take adequate action toward child molesters within their ranks, and even slate all complaints as apostate driven lies and dishonesty!

Court cases in the United States and investigations by the Australian Royal Commission show otherwise.

So who really are the ones who are lying and being dishonest?

The 2nd video is very well put together.

I like the way he uses the illustration of the octopus with its arms here and there in regards to WT corporation business dealings.

He also makes a great point about how elders brush things off having done zero research. This is the standard approach they take when TTATT is brought to their attention.

This guy has clearly done a lot of research into finding proof of the WT Corporations stocks and shares. As he points out, there is nothing wrong with that, however, when some of these shares are with companies that make weapons, cigarettes, soft porn; that is where the hypocrisy comes in. It seems to be 'Money over morality'.

And of course......'Jehovah doesn't take American express'. :-)

Does it not dawn on the cart witnesses?

i sat in town recently, right in the window of a nice wee pub.

within minutes i realised that i had a perfect view of a jw cart and the two ridiculously dressed jw's (they have absolutely no individuality at all.

what's more, they all look like they're going to a funeral).

My mother became a JW when I was 16. She kept at me and eventually decided on a study. Back then, I thought it was a quaint little Christian faith group that had a clear understanding of the bible. Being young and impressionable, I thought it would meet my spiritual needs. Little did I realise it would take over my life!

New blood cards came to our hall today

at the end of the meeting an elder, by way of announcements said there is a new blood document that he said would be passed out to every baptized member of the congregation by way of their service group overseer.

i knew this day was coming, just had no idea of when.

he said it was a simplified version and sure to make you sign up for suicide.

Can I add. The advance decision as made available by the organisation is simply a provision. You have the CHOICE whether to fill it in or not. If you feel uncomfortable with it, you dont fill it in. you can even can write out your own advance decision as long as you have a witness to sign it.

Please check your countries policy on advance decision to refuse medical treatment before signing something you may regret.

Under 18' s come under ward of court in a number of countries such as the UK. However, depending on the strictness and rigidity of the parents who view blood transfusions like the plague, they may well indoctrinate their own children to do what they can to refuse blood. There have been some cases where juveniles have stood their ground in their refusal to take blood, only to lose their lives.

meeting with elders about WT involvement in UN

i still go to the meetings because of my in wife and it came about that the elders knew of my pissed off attitude about the society getting involved in the un.

so the elders said they could help me get over that and wanted to meet with me.

now just to let you know, i have only told my wife and her mom so far about it, that's it.

The elders bury their heads in the sand when confronted with real truth, facts and nonsensical policies. Why? Because they are afraid to rock the boat. They are afraid to go down the rabbit hole and see for themselves. Many may already know these things, but push them to the back of their mind (cognitive dissonance).
