  I'm glad my children don't have to grow up being afraid of cupcakes

  yesterday, i brought a batch of cupcakes to my son's school.

  in passing them out, i started to give one to one of the children, who was a jw.

  he immediately started freaking out and screaming "no thank you" over and over.

  Other sacred writings were added to the inspired Scriptures until sometime after 443 B.C.E. when Nehemiah and Malachi completed their books. Then there was a gap in Bible writing for almost 500 years, until the apostle Matthew penned his historic account.

  That is only true if you exclude entire books of the sacred canon, such as the books of Maccabees. These books tell the story of the Macabbean revolt against Antiochus Epiphanes, which occurred about 175 BC. This was foreseen in the prophecy of Daniel, starting at 11:21.

  she was about 13 or 14 when i first started having serious doubts about the wts.

  when i informed her of my doubts a couple years later, she took the information and ran with it.... she never looked back.

  i told her she could be whatever she wanted to be if she only worked hard enough.

  Well Freakin finally this Drama has reached it's Climax

  hahaha i just recieved a certified letter , an invitation to a little party known as a jc at the local geneseo ,il kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses to discuss the matter more fully that i refused to discuss with an elder on the phone about .

  come to our party june 23 held in your honor ...yea right !!.

  so our certified letters will be received on the same day sweet !

  Don't go. Considering the advice you've already received from your PD and the letter you sent them, the appropriate response is an assertive "NO, I told you to leave me alone!"

  I have asked for his support and I think he understands how important it is to me now.

  Since the WT dosn't like "weaker vessels" standing up for themselves, perhaps your husband can deliver the message. Let them know your house isn't divided!

  Hold your head high, show them the power of self-respect!

  we had several "talent" shows over the years in my original congregation - it was the only annual gathering more nauseating that the meetings.. my friend and i would always bring our walkmans and blare heavy metal in the back - hoping to block out the embarassing crap on the stage.you always had a few older ones get up on stage and slaughter a kingdumb song.

  The talent may have been uneven, but at least it's a chance for the congregation to engage in something like a normal social activity. If it's a choice between a talent show and another round of "conversation stopper" rehearsals, I say let the off-key singing begin!

  just thought i should share a bit of my story with you all, i'm on this board everyday and can't stop reading.

  i was raised as a witness by my mother and grandmother, dad and gramps weren't witnesses.

  i was baptized at 15, i believed it was the truth but was still pushed into baptism by my mom, she thought it reflected negativly on her as a mother that i wasn't dipped yet.

  I like the third version also. I would consider leaving in the statute number from your earlier versions, but omitting all the other details from that part. Put them on notice, while leaving it to their lawyer to look up the statute and explain it to them. For example:

  I consider these repeated phone calls, personal questions and uninvited visits to be Harassment (M.S. § 609.749, Subd. I).

  And don't forget what Blondie said about sending it via certified mail!

  Do you understand that believers in every other religion see the Watchtower dishing up ridicule, equating all other religions with "Babylon the Great", "The Great Apostacy", "False Worship", etc.? That we see the Watchtower leadership "proceeding to their own desire for ungodly things" (namely, power and control), causing separations, and "not having spirituality"?
