I think it's best to "just leave well enough alone and let them enjoy their debauchery". If you feel that you must do something, do so privately--between you and the individuals involved. Discussing their conduct with third parties is inappropriate unless there's something that requires a police report--and what you've described doesn't (unless the drug situation is really serious, endangering children etc.). Dwelling on another's faults is the kind of behavior that gives the WT a bad name; why stoop to their level? Be the better person!

I appreciate the irony of leaked information in this case, but I also appreciate the right to a fair trial. Suspects should be tried in the courtroom, not the headlines.

JWD Holiday Cookbook - Food in Due Season - available FREE
by Lady Lee ina few years ago many of the posters on jwd got together and submitted their faavorite holiday recipes which i edited and complied into a jwd holiday cookbook called food in due season.
the book was made available free for forum members .. well for anyone who could get it i guess lol.
it hasn't been available for a while and i know simon is very busy so i have put it up on sendspace for you.

Are they really that bad???
by anonymous4 inhad a good look into the doctrine, beliefs and practices of jws and to be honest, i don't really see anything wrong with it at all.. it's biblical and i've had such an eye opener the past year or so reading some of their books and magazines .
is there really any real reasons why i shouldn't want to get involved further?

We do use the Bible as our only reference and guide, the publications direct us to the Bible alone.
You must have gone to a different Kingdom Hall than the those where my ex-elder-in-law and ex-MS-in-laws spoke. On those (admittedly rare) occassions when I accompanied my Ex to a talk given by one of the ex-in-laws, I was dumbstruck by how seldom and superficially they referred to the Bible, and how often and extensively they quoted Watchtower and Awake publications. In academic writing such self-serving citations are considered irrelevant, worthless, and indicative of incompetent scholarship (if not outright intellectual dishonesty). This obliterated what little credibility the Watchtower organization ever had in my estimation.

" especially former jehovah's witnesses.
and though it's true in a number of senses, we must be conscious of the fact that the early christians were considered by nearly everyone in roman and jewish society as a cult.

I'm not privy to all of their internal publications because my "Bible study" "teacher" says I'm "not ready" to read them ... I directly asked if I could have or borrow them & even offered a donation for them, but my "teacher" staunchly refused.
That is a huge red flag. You're not allowed to know what they really teach until you've committed to the organization and passed their scrutiny. The core teachings are secrets for the worthy members. Why do they hide their "truth" from the public at large? Are they ashamed of it?
If you want to learn what mainstream religions teach and believe, you can learn before joining up. They make sure their message is widely available at bookstores, the public library, radio, television, the internet, etc. If the teachings are true, why hide your light instead of shining it for all to see?

i didn't know they were still doing these beauty pageants.
i've never found these pageant contestants all that attractive, as i prefer a round the way girl myself.
