The question I ask is why are you considering going back, what do you expect to happen if you do?
If you expect joining the Watchtower (or any other religion) to be the elixir that solves life's problems, I think you'll be disappointed later on. After the initial enchantment with the new experience wears off, it needs to continue working on a day to day, long term basis.
On the other hand, opting for a religious affiliation because it fits you is like marriage to a spouse who is complementary to you, and you to them. It strengthens and enhances the persons you already are, just as you do for them. It's about each party actively benefitting the other, not mere hope that being with them will do something for you.
So, before you make that committment, examine the situation carefully:
- What do you expect to happen if you return to the Watchtower?
- Is it reasonable to expect from them?
- Are you ready to make the committments they expect from you?
- Do you really expect to stay commited to your decision for another 10, 20, or 50 years?
Honest reflection on these questions will lead you to the choice that's best for you. Please choose wisely.
Like the majority of posters on this thread, my choice is not the Watchtower organization.
