I sent all my cards today. It was under $8 U.S.A. dollars . I cannot believe that there were over 20 people who are doing it this year!

His priveleges were removed when I lived at home. I havent lived at home for 13 years, so he was able to become an elder a few years ago.
I've always been VERY careful not to get caught when celebrating holidays. I hate causing a stir....hate causing conflict. But now I feel there is no need for a conflict. People should allow me to do what I want. I don't feel that celebrating holidays is wrong, so they should not get upset. And if they do, well, I'll take a second look at my actions ONCE THEY TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR RELIGION.

Haha, no Aguest, he wasnt hiding behind curtains. lol
I actually just had to call him about something else (its my father, ok?? hehe, I was trying not to add that detail but now I feel I must. My ELDER father is who dropped off the info). After we discussed the 'other' thing, I said "Is there anything you would like to discuss with me?" To which he replied, "No, I'm good. I'm fine. Have a good evening."
What aggravated me is that I didnt even INVITE him to where I was. He came by unannounced one day and, BAM, there was my Christmas tree. (lookin' mighty beautiful, I might add) . He didnt say anything at the moment, and that was over a week ago. I wondered if it was just pure shock on his part. He KNOWS that I no longer want to be a witness, but he's never seen me doing anything blatently anti-jw.
I feel good for returning his mag

I would crack my ass up laughing if a "new light" brought them back to celebrating Christmas, LMAO !!
While this will never happen, the thought of it just made me laugh.
Well, I decided just to hand write the response I posted here. And I just went and delivered it to him, but he wasnt home. So I left where he'll find it .
ARGH....its just so irritating to know that the magazine is going to people at this beautiful, happy time. All the jw's want to do is smash people's happiness TODAY and focus on a future thats not even going to happen!

Here is what I believe I will do. Fold it back up, stick it in an envelope along with a hand written note:
When you take a good, hard, SERIOUS look at the practices you as a Jehovah's Witness take part of, then I will take a serious look at your magazine.
If you need a reminder, Here you are:
Wedding Rings, Wedding Veils, Bridesmaids, Lipstick & Make-up (what does the Bible teach about it?), Jewelry (What does the BIBLE, not jw literature, have to say about jewelry), even your very own Watchtower Symbol.
A baby shower is a party that celebrates the birth of a child, where the new baby receives a ton of gifts. Too bad their only birthday party is one they won't remember.
Romans 14:5 says: One man judges one day as above another. Another man judges one day as all others. Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind.
1 Corinthians 4:5: Hence, do not judge anything before the due time, until the Lord comes, who will bring both the secret things of darkness to light and make the counsels of the hearts manifest. and then each one will have his praise come to him from God.

A main concern is, not what the practice meant hundreds of years ago, but how it is viewed today in your area. Understandably, opinions may vary from one place to another. Hence, it is wise to avoid turning such matters into big issues. The Bible says: "Let each one keep seeking, not his own advantage, but that of the other person."—1 Corinthians 10:24.In the end, it really doesnt matter to you what the Bible actually says. All that matters to you is what the Governing Body tells you to think.
I am returning this magazine to you, although I pray that you will not give it to someone else. Quit trying to ruin other people's happiness and start focusing on your own shortcomings.

The Awake is entitled, THE TRUTH ABOUT CHRISTMAS
Right now, I am furious. I do not go to this person's house and tell him what's wrong with his religion! But now, NOW I WANT TO. I want to say to him, "Sure, I'll read your BS magazine as long as I can come to YOUR home and you'll read the print-outs I give you that speak negatively about YOUR daily practices and faith".
I am absolutely going to say something, I've just got to chill out first.
Briefly about me: I've been faded for a long time. Baptized ate age 15. Been faded about 15 years. And I'm now celebrating holidays openly (though anxious about bullshit like this and actually getting df'd for it)
Any suggestions on what I should say?

I've never really corresponded to people outside of the United States before... I think you've all received my address by now. I'm not sure if you foreigners need to write UNITED STATES on the envelope. ?
Ps- I've had to throw away about 3 cards already because I dont leave enough space for your longa$$ addresses!
pps- Gary Neal, because you live with a jw, you will be getting a different postcard....one that doesnt mention happily being an apostate . But dont worry, itll still have lotsa good stuff
