John 1: 1 and Exodus 7:1- BOTH read "god"
No upper or lower case.
No "a"s.
BOTH are added by Translators.
if i'm not mistaken, werent the committee of brothers who translated this bible: nathan knorr, albert scheoder, george gangas, fredrick franz.
wasnt fredrick franz the only scholarly person (or somewhat scholarly) person who was 'somewhat qualified' to translate any type of biblical greek, hebrew, etc?.

"1. There are no Greek manuscripts that contain the tetragrammaton in any form."
Didn't you read what I wrote? And there actually WAS; the Greek Septuagint that was used in Jesus' day. Since Greek didn't have a co-responding word for it-
The scribes, for a brief time, wrote it in as HEBREW text!

OOOO the "Other" obsession!
Just can't THINK well?
Did Jesus make HIMSELF? His FATHER? A mythical 'Holy GHOST'?
Thus "other" is-
[other]
Put in BRACKETS to SHOW it IS added to help understand what the Greek is saying, and to break the Illusion of the programmed Trinity...
MJ, you are doing a MUCH better job of making a fool of yourself, lately. Keep it up; your pastor will be PROUD of you!

Good question, E!
First, Kione Greek HAD no word for the Name, thus used "Lord or God"
Second, the Jews had hiddenit from the public- thus Jesus saying he came to MAKE it known
Third- it finally DID arrive in Greek- altho long after the first NT books were written
Fourth, where it QUOTES the OT where the Name IS- we put it there. (One other place where it is clear His Name was being used.)
Now- what justifies its REMOVAL????

1- God's Name removed over 6.500 times / We put it back, as you well know
2- They use different words fort the same word in Hebrew & Greek / We don't (soul, hell, Gehenna, etc)
3- They use spurious scriptures (1 John 5:7) / We don't
4- They play the Cap Game (John 8:58, John 1:1, Ex 7:1) / We don't
There's more, but you will just ignore it, too....

LL, you & your buddies are beyond belief.
This entire site incessantly insults us and our beliefs , and now you rise in Self Righteous Indignation because I reveal the pettiness!
And, Jeff is a Superb Example of one who truly insults, uses crass language, and rarely- if ever-has something Intelligent to say!

Such complete ignorance.
Regardless of wether or not its translators met to your standards....SOMEHOW they produced the most accurate and honest of ALL Bible translations.
So I could care less if grade-schoolers produced it.
Go ahead and back in your hypocrasy, and use all the translations translating a key word several different times to give the impression of church dogmas (sheol, hades, nephesh,, ect), that put CAPS (no upper & lower case in Hebrew & Greek) to mislead, that include spurious verses, and of course, DELETE God's Name in over 6,500 times...
Ready for church? Whip out your tithes!
