This is a good idea but what if you have a jw zealot mate sitting next to you all 3 days? For those who have to go through this with someone who is a strict "believer".
The mp3 would be good in your case because the program is broadcasted on FM radio. Tell the zealot that you are listening to the program, then turn on some music or even an audio book. Or you could tell the zealot that you are volunteering and go sit in the car, at the cafe or the hotel if it's in walking distance.

I'm going to be visiting dub family the week of their DC so I may go on Sunday to hear the Gen Talk and laugh at the drama. I'll also get the new pubs since i'm there.
My recipe for survival: mp3 player, novels, blackberry and sit in a high, isolated area to catch some zzz's.
two friends came over and told me at the long beach convention they had atm machines distributed around the main lobby of the arena so the brothers could pull out cash and donate more freely.
anyone else hear of this at any other conventions of satan?.
If I remember correctly, no amount of money needed was mentioned at the end but it was announced to make checks out to, I think, Christian Congregation of something or other.
They usually don't make the 'cash grab' announcement at the DC because of the general public are more likely to be in attendance because of the DC invitation campaign. They make a point of noting of the invitations the lack of collection plates. I guess contribution boxes at every ATM don't count.

At this time I truly believe Jehovah's witnesses are God's people, I personally tested them against the rest of the Christian religions and their teachings and found Jehovah's witnesses to be the most Biblically true religion by about a mile and a half. but it is for each person to decide for themselves.
I agree, this is your personal belief. The bible doesn't speak of Jehovah's Witnesses as being "God's People." You are the victim the indoctrination process of the WTBS.

Debator, not trying to throw trick/loaded questions at you. But here's the reality for one to be saved, one must become a JW.
One must believe "The Message" about Jehovah and Christ as interpreted by the WTBS. A person may believe in Jesus and Jehovah and accept the Bible as his Word but if one doesn't become a JW then you will die. The whole purpose for the bible study program is to make JW's, not to strenghten faith in God and his Son or offer comfort. Or for true debate. It's the JW way or no way. At least you are honest, in recognizing this even if there is no scriptural basis for believing the JW's to be the one true religion.

It is not loving to chase after unbelievers if they have made their choice.
Unbelievers of the WTBS or Unbelievers in God and Christ?
The love comes in going out and giving the kingdom message literally preaching to the entire inhabited earth so all those that hear and listen can have the chance to be saved.
Does one becoming saved means accepting the WTBS message or the Message of Christ?
Please direct me to scripture that say that the WTBS are the only purveyors of this message?

As Debator has lovingly pointed out, the preaching activity is done more out of obligation. The goal to is convert people to the JW lifestyle hook line and sinker. If you don't convert, JW will drop you cold. In their minds, rejecting JWs is rejecting God.

Some of the arenas rented by WBTS for DCs have ATMs at set locations, i think the WTBS capitalizes on this by placing the contribution boxes at or near the ATMs. How loving of them!

here's a brief recount of things that stood out to me this year upon my awakening...probably old hat for most of you.
the first experience i heard was from a sister who was afraid to speak to her fleshly sisters about "the truth" and her conscience was really bothered.
she felt horrible that they were going to die unless she shared the "truth" with them.
Damn, those experiences are depressing. How would be encouraged by that crap?
You are right about the songs, they are really bad. The words and melodies are off. The popular songs from the old songbook were changed to pay homage to the GB and FDS.
