So the 40 years has no significance, Miller came with 40 years because he thought that was the length of a generation? Unbelievable.

Where did 607 come from?
by MrFreeze inokay so we've obviously established on this board that 607 is not the correct date that babylon destroyed jerusalem.
even before 1914 came around, the bible students still thought 1914 would be a pivital date.
the only way they can gain that info is from the 7 times or w/e.

I answer plenty of questions and I've thoroughly answered your questions.
AIW, you have not answered any of the questions on this thread that i put to you. I'm sure you overlooked them in your zealousness for the truth. I've listed them below for your convenience, take your time. Thanks in advance.

Do you have special dispensation from the GB?
Is there new light allowing baptized JW's to associated with DF'd persons? Why do you so in opposition to your faith's 'administrators'.
Now it's your turn to tell us how the practice of shunning does not apply to you.

2010 drama: historicity of Christians leaving Jerusalem between Roman wars
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite insorry if this has already been discussed, i haven't been around here a lot and i have this question for any history buffs.. this summer's dc is a fictionalized account of first century jehovah's witnesses (gag), leaving jerusalem right after the first attack by rome and fleeing to pella.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/private/194498/1/drama-audio-only.
other than jesus "this generation" prophecy, the bible mentions nothing directly about this.
even john, who wrote his gospel and letters afterward, makes no hint of events in jerusalem during that era.

It's easy not to comment, just don't. Lots of JW's don't comment for various reasons and they are not marked, DF'd or on reproof.

DGP, most JW's who actively associate with DF'd persons are not flaunting in the elders midst. Although most elders are intrusive, something like this would have to be bought to their attention. That's why I said to AIW 'if it becomes known'. The offender is usually counseled first and if they persist they are marked and privileges are taken away.
If AIW is trying to get reactivated in the congregation, she stands to lose alot if it becomes known to the BOE.

You're pointing the finger at me by drawing on a belief system that in effect brings judgment on yourself. I generally don't do that unless someone else starts the blame game.
Yes, I'm pointing out that failing follow the standards as set out by your faith's 'administrators' makes you a hypocrite. Is there new light allowing baptized JW's to associated with DF'd persons? Why do you so in opposition to your faith's 'adminstrators'. Oh yeah, thanks for not judging, that's very righteous of you.
Drawing on beliefs you reject yourself even makes less sense. Just because you reject something doesn't make you right.
It doesn't matter what I believe. You are on this forum as a JW upholding 'the truth' about shunning, you even supported your views by showing us that non-JW's practice it as well.
I attended the meeting today
Well good for you. I know it's challenging to return to meetings when one is inactive. So I guess this means you will have shun your family and the members of this forum. Active publishers are not allowed to comment, give talks and participate in the ministry if they are associating with DF'd persons. Doing so will make you a hypocrite. And if it becomes known to your BOE, you may find yourself being the one shunned.

It seems we have a communication problem. Are self proclaimed apostates anything other than a social irritant?
Yes, we do have a communication problem. The topic is "Wordly Shunning". Your first post on this extolls the virtues shunning by other faiths with the implication that it's cool for JW's shun based on the GB's interpretation of scripture.
You stated in the past that you are a JW. On this thread, you bragged about associating with DF'd family members. You freely associate with the DF'd members of this forum. Page 2 of this thread quotes your faith's position on dealing with DF'd persons. Everytime you post on a forum such as this or associate with DF'd family is in disobedience to your faith's 'adminstrators.' You are a hypocrite.
I can't even engage in an intelligent conversation without someone dumbing down the conversation. Quit being retarded.
I know the fustration you feel when people don't stay on topic. Now it's your turn to tell us how the practice of shunning does not apply to you.

The fastest way to regaining her trust and opportunity to 'wake her up' is by reinstatment.
She did not trust him then and she probably won't trust and respect him in the future. Their issues are deeper than the JW thing, reinstatement will not solve them. It will only serve to further humiliate him. The reinstatement process is spiritual abuse IMO. His state of mind and esteem will not hold up to that and dealing with her.
