Can we understand the Bible without the Watchtower?
by brotherdan innot according to c.t russell.
in the september 15, 1910 wt he made these shocking claims regarding the 6 scripture studies that he wrote:.
"that is to say, they are not merely comments on the bible, but they are practically the bible itself...".

God created all things. Does that mean he is worthy of respect?
by sabastious inrevelation 4:11 - 11 you are worthy, our lord and god, .
to receive glory and honor and power, .
for you created all things, .

if this god person wants my respect, he needs to do something to earn it. this whole "well i made you and gave you this mysterious book that is not really clear and is controversial and can say whatever people want it to say and is often abused ... but if you dont do what i say i'm going to kill you forever and ever" crap is not deserving of anything but scorn in my opinion.
i sure as hell dont treat my kids that way.
that's one reason why i dont believe that the god of the bible is true

Does the Watchtower contain photo's of the Devil
by jwfacts ini have not been able to find any photo's of satan the devil in the watchtower.
there are photo's of the serpent with eve, satan's hand offering kingdoms to jesus and a shadowy cloaked figure speaking to jesus on the mountain.
apart from that i cannot locate any of a proper looking devil.

"Before the Generation ... of 1914 Passes Away"
by doinmypart inthat quote must be embarrassing for the wts, so i figured i'd post it.
it appeared on the inside cover of every awake magazine until a few years ago.. a few weeks ago i attended the funeral of someone born in 1916, she was 94 years old.
i don't know anyone born before or on 1914.. governing body are you ashamed?

it is just amazing to me how they flipflop doctrine, or worse, in this case they are just making stuff up to try to save credibility. what is more amazing to me is how the r&f dubs just swallow it. "the generation that saw 1914 would not pass away ... " how many times did we hear that ad nauseum? and how much gall do they have to change the view of a generation twice in the last 15 years? and then to change it to a completely whacky, ludicrous explanation?
i mean, really? really?
the whole "well we dont understand it right now but we have to wait on Jehoober" nonsense is just inexcusable at this point.

I admit, abject and utter failure.....
by notverylikely ini tried, i thought i could make it work, it seemed so easy, but alas, in my project to turn a used $3 cigar box into a functional humidor i failed miserably.
i never could make the box airtight enough and allow enough air to circulate through to keep the cigars moist enough with a passive humidifier.
the humidity kept falling too low, i kept have to try to seal more edges of the box and eventually i started losing cigars.. i broke down today and bought a $40 humidor and in the space of just a few hours it is already keeping the cigars more moist and humid.. i failed.

i shouldnt think that thanksgiving would be sanctioned. it is supposed to be 'giving thanks to god' ... and as the pilgrims and the indians didnt worship the big skydaddy jehoober, dont see this one being 'okay' with them

Ray Franz Was Wrong
by Farkel ingod rest his soul.
although i never met him personally, he and i did correspond a number of times, and i have numerous friends who have not only met him, but stayed several days with he and cynthia at their home.
if nothing else, ray was kind, non-judging, and generous.
